It sometimes feels like i tilt alot easier after a break or when im playing less. And seems after a few days of grinding i turn into an emotionless robot and its alot harder to tilt me.:hmpf:

I do lose concentration after a break sometimes and depending on how big the consequence is on my stack and how it affects my mood my chances of going on tilt varies accordingly. I am sure it is different among peers.

Make sure you eat right during the break if you do so. :toilet:

It's been the opposite for me, it seems like the more I play the more my reserve of anti-tilt gets eaten away and I have less and less patience. I've never really gone on a grind though so who knows...

I think your response is unusual. If it were common, why would people take breaks after a tilty session? They certainly wouldn't want to do something that would make them MORE prone to tilt the next time they play.

For most people, getting away from the game (taking a break) allows them to clear their head so that they can maintain their self control the next time variance (inevitably) bites.

you should reach a level where you understand that poker is full of ups and downs. Break or no break. mental stability is key always.

I think not. By taking a break I usually calm down, while just keeping playing especially with a bad card run makes me quickly feel frustrated.

The break is good to cool things off, and more if you came from having an ugly bad beat.

It is possible you have tilt built up over time and it slowly gets worse.

Quite the ordinary... I think breaks are great, they reset me. Makes it easier to see my flaws in the game and give me additional patience. The last one is a particular challenge for me!

I don't go on tilt after a break

I usually never go on tilt after a break, it is usually after a bully, who've I've trapped, gets lucky and hits his 1 out river.:D

But seriously, I've not noticed that my tilts have any correlation to when I last took a break.

1 week break.? Yes. You tilt because you lacked practice not playing for a week. Your skill stagnated or worse deteriorated a little.

One week is such short time that at least in MTTs your skills won't have a chance to deteriorate. I once took ~4 months break and after that it is a little different issue, though I think that if you play just in one site (which roughly same structures and opponents) it is not so big issue.

Rest is good for brain. Also brings up new solutions to old problems, which are invisible to you when you grind, grind and grind.

I do not tilt so not sure the question is correct? I play my game. I let the game come to me. Even in rebuys which can be very frustrating.

Last night 6 events moneyed 3 times and the last two was card dead on all for over 3 hours:(

Even losing their and staying card dead over another 45 or so minutes I pulled it together and made money.

Maybe part of not tilting? Is that play multiple tourneys so one bad beat doesnt affect me or dead cards:)

As some one who just took a 2 1/2 week break I'd say yes

I feel bored of it early and don't want to even bother with a short stack and just want to play lots of hands..

I'm in a poker rut not results wise but not wanting to play all that much wise

Been wanting to do other things... I think it may be the cold weather getting cabin fever and not wanting to be inside

I don't think it matters very much if people generally tilt more or less after a break. It's far more important to know what you do as an individual, and even then, it's more important to recognize whether / how much you're (approaching) tilting at a particular moment than what your usual feeling or reaction is.
