I was wondering if every players stats were monitored in online games and tourneys. Also how useful or accurate would these be? Does anybody often check a players stats to determine how they would play in a situation?
I've been reading a lot of the posts here in the strategy section, and most everything I could to help develop my game..any advice would be appreciated.
thx

I never did check out the stats of others I play my game and while I am doing this I watch how the other players do on the table, in a tournament with a lot of players its often hard to do cause you get moved very often from one table to the other

sharkscope will give you there SNG numbers and there are a few others that will give you MTT stats, but none of them track cash games, it's simply too much data to handle.

There r sites but u would be better off investing in one of the poker trackers orr something like that, they will give real time stats of the ppl u play against regularly

You can use OfficialPokerRatings.com. It's free, you just need to register. It's even interesting to check your own stats. GL

It's actually OfficialPokerRankings.com (not 'ratings').

You can also disable these stats from being viewed by others if you choose.

There are a few sites that can give you the stats. But you would be better off paying attention to the way they are playing now. Sharkscope and Officialpokerrankings are a couple.

Also

ThePokerDB is a very good one and the first one I believe (correct me if I am wrong)...they have a free version and a subscription version with enhanced stats

There is also different software available that delivers players stats from various services to a HUD (heads up display on the poker table)

OfficialPokerRankings
Only for tournament. I keep it running continuously while I'm playing. It won't help you as far as determining an opponents playing style but I do find it usefull in determining their decision making abilities. If a player has an OPR ranking of say 98% I'm going to play them very carefully and will easily toss the TPTK in the muck if they seem interested in the hand. On the other hand, if their looks like Mariano Revera's ERA I may think of calling a shove with any made hand.

Officaial Poker Rankings is great for this like acouple people said. I recently tried the 5day Free trial of Tournament Shark and it did the same thing basically as OPR does. So you should check it out Pro Labs or just google Tournament Shark...
