If you read my introduction you know that I am looking for a reputable place to play. It seems strange to me that poker sites don't display their addresses. Is there a reason for this? There never seems to be a problem if you lose money at a site, problems only seem to arise if you win and want to leave with considerably more money than you started. Anyone know how to find out if a pokersite really has a location or if it is just some programmer's scam? Is there a way to find their street address?

One site that I researched stated that their card program had been tested by a very reputable firm. They gave the name of the firm but when I inquired how that firm could be contacted they refused to give me that information.

I am not trying to insinuate that sites are rigged, but what I do believe is that programmers build in "excitement" hands. These can be dealt to anyone at the table and I have as much chance of getting the AA as anyone else - how one reacts to them (call, raise or fold) will be different among different individuals. All I wanted from this bonafide tester of card programs was to confirm some statistics. If the site thought they were adding to their credibility by citing the company that tested their software then at least they should allow the public to check that fact.

So does anyone know the address of the sites they are playing at or how to find them?
Thanks in advance for the info.

You're asking for addresses of poker regulation/testing companies? ...sure. ok. You just need to look harder. And since they're online companies with 24 hour live support via email and telephone, there isn't really a need for address unless you'd like to send a letter out of the country and pay or that postage?

The sites Ive played on Ive never had any problem with, these include Party, Paradise, Titan and most recently PStars tho I have yet to make a deposit. The more reputalbe and bigger sites are the ones many people in here have recommended to you, Fulltilt, PStars, UB and bodog, Party is an honest site too and one of the biggest but they dont allow US players, which im my opinion is a damned shame, just like the prohibitionist legislation the US government passed.

Paradise Poker has recently joined forces with Sportingbet plc, a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange (Ticker Symbol: SBT.L)

Party Poker is "PRTY"...investors lost something like 3 million dollars on the day the U.S. passes into law the online poker ban when stock took a dive.

UB, Full Tilt, and Bodog are all licensed by Kahnawake. I believe UB is owned by some company, I can't exactly find at the moment....but I'm pretty sure Bodog trades as well.

It is a good idea to play at a well known site that isn't run by the mafia....
