Looks like Isildur's next challenge will be against Eugene "MyRabbiFoo" Katchalov this Feb. 13th.

Okay... Who you got???

Isildur's won 2 out of 3 of these challenges. But I hear Katchalov is pretty strong although I dont know too much about his HE cash game.

Were you saying the same thing when he played Isaac Haxton?

No, only started since he played Jungleman12. Nobody bet against me. Lots of talk on how Jungleman12 is better, but no one with the ballz to bet against Isildur1.

Gonna go with Isildur. Katchalov is INSANE, but I think he's mostly a tourney player. Blom should have the advantage heads up.

Blom crushed him. They had to quit before the standard (for these matches) 2500 hands. Katchalov had his whole stars roll on the tables and was having to redivide his chips amongst the tables to keep playing. It was an absolute beat down.

Also, I watched him play some 6 max nlh in Daniels room last night and he was killing it there too.

Looks like he gave some of it back at PLO but then doesn't he always. :)

Isildur1 had some huge breaks sucking oout several times to win huge pots but he was obviously a huge favorite in this scenerio. Im thinking if Pokerstars is putting opponents in which isildur1 is a huge favorite to build his bankroll. Tony g, Katchalov were huge underdogs and it showed with huge wins. I think Urindanger or OMGclayaiken should take this challenge would be a even match, and see whos the best.

Of course he had some run good. It does help. :) As for stronger opponents, it would be nice to see. There is no barrier to them playing. They just have to put up the money. I believe OMGclayaiken did play him on stars (can't remember his stars screen name atm) some PLO right after Blom first signed. It wasn't part of the official challenge. I seem to recall that Blom lost a bundle. Would be intersting to see them play nlh.

Looked like a good match. These guys are incredible to rail.

The one I scratched my head was the $10,000 allin preflop push by Katchalov with KQ of hearts and the call by Isildur with the 9-6 of hearts.

Dont get me wrong, these guys are on a totally different level of thinking than I am and probably most of us... But I just cant see calling something like that with 9 high profitable in the long run. Although I know you Isildur fans will show me the error in my thinking.

Look forward to the next one.

My guess is that he must have put him on low pp, which could be a pre flop shove from a lag in heads up and with the dead money already in, it actually would have been an ok call...if he was correct in assuming he had 2 overs...which he didn't.
