Question on FTP Iron Man Medals:

If I use my Iron Man Medals on something from their store, does the medal turn-in hit rackback.

I know that FTP Points hit rackback (.005 per point IIRC) but I can't seem to find an answer on the medals.

As far as I know, they only affect your rakeback if you use them in one of two ways:
a. Using them on bonuses, which mrmonkey's site clearly shows.
b. Using them on FT Points, which is completely pointless, also shown on mrmonkey's site.

If you use your medals to purchase tokens to tournaments, you are not charged negatively from rakeback(just did this last month and can confirm.) Also if you purchase any of the apparel or accessories, you will not be charged negative rakeback.

To make things short, only buying bonuses and points(then spending them) will negatively affect your rakeback from IM Medals.

I was planning on buying tickets/tokens to the tourneys. Just wanted to make sure before I dinged myself. :p.

Tourney are definitely the best value but for those like myself who would rather not play tourneys buying bonuses from the IM store is best for those without Black Card. If you have Black Card buying 100K points and then buying BC cash bonuses is a better value than IM bonuses.

For sure, I'm pretty much like you in that I would rather use them on a bonus(preferably around YearEnd or MidYear to double) because I just don't like tourney's like I used to, but for those that play tourney's, they are great for entering things like the mini-FTOPS and such. Need to get my point avg up a bit to get BC though, only at like 130/day lol

I had some medals rack up because I couldn't make the monthly tourneys. I try to play in them but the last couple months I've had to miss them.
