Hey everyone, my name is Mark and I'm somewhat new to the online poker world and I have been playing on full tilt. I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys and hearing what all you have to say.

When I first deposited on Full Tilt, I only deposited $50 dollars because I didn't plan on playing all that much. I'm partially through receiving my 100% initial deposit bonus, but I started to run somewhat low on cash so I decided to play a few freerolls in hopes of winning some FTP's, thus recieving more of my bonus. I just won a freeroll and won a seat in another tournament that had a 100 FTP buy-in. 100 FTP's should bump me up to recieve at least one, maybe two more portions of my bonus. My question is do I have to unregister from the tournament to recieve the bonus or am I just out of luck?

FTPs you win as tournament prizes don't count towards releasing your bonus. It's only FTPs that are earned through paying rake that matter. Sorry for you.

BTW, what games were you playing while you busted your $50 deposit?

it was a combination of .05/.10 NL holdem tables and 2 + .25 9 player holdem sit and go's for the most part

The SNG was good game selection, but playing .05/.10 NL cash games (me call them 10nl) probably not.

Firstly, the rake FullTilt takes for 10nl is twice bigger than normal, which makes it very hard to beat as every time you win a pot, they take 10% of it for the house. Normal rake is 5% in online poker, and FullTilt has 5% rake for all other limits, but rapes the 10nl players.

Secondly, you really need a larger bankroll in order to play those games. Even if you are winning players, the natural variance of the game can make you lose a lot of buy-ins easily. Please research proper bankroll management if you want to keep on playing poker.

Thanks for all the help. I realized that even though i was somewhat successful at the 10nl tables, it was easy to lose the buy-ins quickly. I have done some research on bankroll management recently and I there are definitely some things that I need to do differently. I think I am going to stick to the SNG's until i build my bankroll back up because I have been cashing in around 50% of those.
