We all know that the Indian casinos in the reservations have their own settlements with their respective states, but is it true that they don't pay any taxes? If they really don't, do they pass their savings to us in any way? Let's say, compared to a vegas casino, are the game odds better? Do you get a better prize for your investment in an Indian casino?

In some cases, states which have banned gaming and allow the Indians to open a casino, there is an agreement made prior when a casino is proposed, to a certain percentage, such as one or two percent of revenue, which will go back to the government/county.

The thing I remember about the time I went to an Indian Casino was that they only had 3 games. blackjack, Slot machines (no video poker), and Bingo.
When you bet on Blackjack you always had to put an extra quarter or 50 cents depending on how much your bet was. They just took that money as a rake I guess.

It pretty much depends on the state the casino is in. In some states certain types of games are banned, so they compensate for that for making the prizes a little less accessible and the odds a little harder to beat. I read a segment about this, you can check here: the legal status of the Indian casino.
In the states where certain gaming types like craps are banned, what's interesting is that even though the Indians are the only ones getting the gaming license in the state, they still can't use all the games allowed in the other, more "liberal" states.

do you know about knhawake (I hope thats the way they spell it) ?
thats the place where most online gmabling and casino sites are stored phisically , it is just beside toronto canada , managed by indians and controled by a multimillioner indian chiff. the building is managed by a jaw and this is the most expensive renting property in the world.
13K for a 1X1 meter per month ( a place to put your server). well , I think that is the meaning of Hippocrates if you ask me.

I guess its a shame you are not a mohawk , sounds like a good place to come from , even better than a jews (and i am one :) ):

"After close to two years of negotiations Mohawks living on the south shore of Montreal have signed an agreement with the government of Quebec. But Ottawa fears the deal may go too far.
The deal, signed Tuesday, gives the Mohawks of Kahnawake greater jurisdiction in some areas and deals with a wide range of issues including the payment of provincial sales tax.
Under the deal Mohawks will not have to pay provincial sales tax on the goods they purchase off the reserve. Quebec and the Mohawks want Ottawa to do the same with its sales tax.
But the federal government is angry because it was not consulted and it fears native groups in other provinces might now ask for the same concession. Ottawa hasn't decided how it will react.
Other parts of the deal give the Mohawks control over the sale of alcohol and tobacco, increase the areas of jurisdiction of the Mohawk municipal court and offer compensation for the provincial roads which cross the reserve.
Quebec will also allow a type of fighting known as Extreme Combat to be held on the reserve.
Band Chief Joe Norton calls the deal a historic agreement which will lead to a new relationship between Quebecers and the Mohawks of Kanhawake. "
