I think your spot on in some respects but not others. As someone who went from playing all online to playing live games, I can say there are major differences between the two. First, in a live game, there are just so much more distractions. People are constantly talking, fiddling with thumbs and in casinos, there's lots of noise, people constantly asking you if you want drinks and etc.
Although, you may think your not getting distracted, I think if you examine your play closely, you will see that you are, at least a little bit. There was this instance when I was playing live poker where I was in-between two people telling a story to each other that I found quite distracting. I focus mostly online for cash games. I would only got a live place for a tournament.

What exactly are those aspects? :D He hasn't listed any?

Anyhow, it helps to improve card play but that's it. Reading people is a a whole other can of worms.

You can always say something like "You two ladies tell me when you're done chit chatting so we can get on with poker! Okey Dokey?"

I have found that a lot of people are "pay-off wizards" in live 1/2 poker and will pay you off when you have a big hand. However, it's very hard to make other people fold medium strength hands

if you have a great hand live, you can make a shit load of money. People just do not like folding.

This causes you to get your good hand cracked though, so prepare for some bad beats.

For sure you get to play way more hands and get familiar with all kinds of spots its a massive Plus.

my experiences are 4 tabling mtts online going back to local live casino tournaments I could pretty much get to the final table without looking at my cards, (note I am in the uk and the standard is awful)

What I learnt the most is patience, observation and the power of position over a casino rec

it depends on your level and tme playing, there are different approaches to every game

poker live has more external factors and you will have more clues to read your opponents as well, the other way around works similar, so there more things so have to watch out and care about

i prefer onlin rather than live, by is my experience

I started out as a primarily live player... I used to think i was so good at the game of poker until i started really playing online.. The fact of the matter is you can be bad at poker but if you can play people.. You can make a TON of money at 1-2.. 2-5 starts to get more serious but 1-2 is comparable to .02/.05 online and you get the bonus of people giving the most obvious tells.. Like grunting when their flush card doesnt hit or throwing chips in when they have a big hand
