well I think it's important to understand when you should turn your hand into a bluff. Not always bluff there though because you can't bluff every time. But if everyone played with a hand it would be a really slow game IMO

Poker is all about collecting chips, not loosing them.
Bluff is just one of the options.
There is a good thread on bluffing aspects, search for it.
One of the aspects of bluffing is that your opponents think you have a better hand than they have; the problem of every player is how do I do that.
For beginners like myself it is best not to bluff.

Try semi-bluffing first. Betting a flush draw, or an open ended straight draw is a good way to start.

Bluffing is mandatory only if you have a very short stack.

it's not that it's not important, but if it's useful, it's final table situations when the blinds are very high, it can benefit you if the opponent is a little passive, it will help you to overcome your bankroll or it will help you to win faster, the chips of the rival.

We must understand "The Bluff". This is simply a tool that needs to be practiced and added to the tools in your ever growing arsenal of tools for playing the game. When, why and where to use this tool, is just as important as knowing when to use a raise, a call, or even the mighty all-in move. The bluff can be a devastating move to the player placing the bluff, as well as to any player calling (what they think) is a bluff move. Having the nuts of a hand is simple and easy to play, but to bluff a player at a pot successfully is truly finding the chink in their armor that may win it all for you. So learn it, practice it, use it when needed and GL in your game.

For me, bluffing should be one of hte last skills you learn as you play. It becomes far too easy to justify a bluff in one's own head. I think a newbie could take the general approach of always assuming someone has it when they bet and always betting when they have it and still be profitable.

Of course!

Bluff is a tool to balance the hand ranges you show to your opponent. A good player needs to keep his opponent guessing at every betting round! And people won't be guessing at all if they know you have each time you bet.
Each player needs to balance his range at many kinds of spots (not only preflop /post flop / turn bets / river bets) (every aspect of one's game should be balanced). That way, a good player sends the message he needs to his opponents, to get them to call him or to fold to him.

Bluffing is a advanced move actually focus on c-bet then bluffing scary boards in position especially 4 card flush boards. Then move on to two barrel bluffs when they hesitantly call your c-bet. That is all. DO NOT try to bluff besides this. Show multi-way c-bet bluffs in position. You make money by getting called big with big hands not so much by bluffing although c-bets are very profitable.

In the micro tournaments that I play , when I won first prize I did at least one or two big bluffs , that if I got caught (if the villan made a call ) it would be game over for me . I think you don't win if you don't bluff , not just small , but big to some fish victims if needed ofcourse:)

The bluff is one of the options or strategy that poker allows you ... but you have to know when the time is right to use it ... you must have experience playing poker before starting to bluff because you could end up losing everything .. !

If this good bluffing but always head because I've seen people trying bluffing on tables or try to do it to me for the simple fact that I passed on the River and then think that I have nothing, but there lies the psychology of poker one once you bluffing and you have feet.

Bluf it's just a part of the game. It's an option, it's pretend you have something you don't. To be a good player, you need to know when to bluff, and do good bluffs!

bluffing is important, but there's a lot of movements you have to learn before start bluffing.

Think in your chips like bullets, you have some shots, it's very important choose well what cards you will play, bluff is like bullet without powder, this is make no effect against you opponent, he need be afraid and get out the hand.

For make anyone fold you need to tell a great history with the situations in the game, like your image at the table, your stack, your position, any villains tells after some card, because this is very important understant about odds, and do not forget the size bet, the wrong size can make you loose the hand and your image at the table.

Try learning basic strategies, when more you play, more you will learning, you need to understand bluff and how to read yours opponents bluffs, after this you will make bluffs more effectives, don't try bluff against callstations.

Good Lucky

Poker is a game of reason more than a game of cards that you have been given. On this basis, bluffs are an integral part of a successful player. if you are afraid to bluff or do not know how to do this, before getting a basic knowledge of this element of the game from the literature or the Internet, get down to the lowest limit and play there at your pleasure, where the loss will be less tangible. Over time, for you, bluffing will cease to be a problem when you understand what it does when used correctly.

I see a bluff as putting the question the the villain. *Fires Barrel* "do you have it?" if he calls and doesn't raise, I might fire a second barrel. I will also check raise if I think there raise is to small to be a value bet. And when somebody min raises flop and turn i know they're bluffing so stick in a half pot bet whatever I have and usually get the fold..

I sometimes bluff in the game, but you need to bluff very carefully or you can lose money or chips in the game, you need to see how the player behaves at the table and then decide how to act bluff or not!

It is necessary to bluff, but not always. In some cases, the bluff will bring you a good profit, but if you often bluff, you will lose much more.

I think that the ability to bluff is a real art. To be able to properly assess the current situation, read opponents and make the right decision about whether the bluff here is going to be the skill of true professionals in their field! This skill is very important and without it I think poker would not be poker!

If you can create a right table image then bluffing works and can help you especially in tournaments when the rising blinds become dangerous for your stack size....

If you practice a while you will find it more and more easy to spot the players you can bluff against successfully. If you do not bluff too much you can win a handful of pots without a made hand in your tournaments...
