I'm going nuts, im getting crap hands and when i get good hands some idiot gets lucky.....maybe i need a break? i just got back from one! anyone have any advice....maybe i just suck at poker and have lost my touch ok that is a false statement

Suck it up, Bad stuff happens to good people sometimes. Come climb an imaginary mountain with me, things will improve.

poker is a game of odds... if you keep on going in with the best hands you will start winning eventually. Just get your mind off poker for a bit. hang out with your kid or watch your fav movie.. and then get back at it

Typical weekend donkland imo. Either you tag them or you tag yourself in the process. Wait for steadier play during the week when everyone and anyone isn't jumping from table to table every other hand, during what I think of as "prime time".

At times like this, it's usually best to take some time off from poker and do other things you enjoy. It may take a few days, maybe a few weeks even. Just let the beats go, and when you feel fresh, bring back your A game.

I myself never take a break. I might take more time to read a particular book. Like Sklansky or if I want a breezy one a Phil Gordon. Or read the Card Player. But I never forsake certain games. I will jump to another site if things get real bad. Just never go outside of your bankroll. Get smaller. Play micro's. Get back into winning playing softer games. Games with a 20% of the field getting into the money with a double stack on FT. STSNG that pay the last 3. THats a third of the field. bodog has a 10seatSNG. Called a Beginners game. 5 out of 10 come in the money. Just relax and dont chase. Keep studying.

I tilted over half my Br last week yaaay PASS THE STAPLER!!!!!!!

Do this breathing excercise: Breath in and see a white stream of good luck filling your lungs. Breathe out and see that the black bad luck is exiting your lungs with evey breath you take, until your lungs are filled with the whiteness of good luck.

Then go play and repeat anytime you feel like tilting.

no such thing as bad cards or bad flops only bad players i suggest practice your strategy on freerolls then move your way up to real money games as far as badbeats there always gonna be thats poker

Sounds like you need more patience ,When the cards suck thats the only thing you can do is wait.I need a lesson in patience also,You just cant win them all.

well from the amount of posts you have i think you should post more here, ask questions and read a smuch info and tips as you can.....this place is awesome for info, and asking a question will always be answered(sarastically or not lol)

not much of a bad streak, or a vent.. seen way worse, so relax. As the others say, move down a bit, change games or sites, breathe...
