How many times do you believe he would win the freeroll in a month? Do you think it would be possible to not get at a final table even once?

Ps.1 You can replace Negreanu with any player you think is better.

Ps.2 Wouldnt it be crazy if Cardschat sign a well known player to compete with us in freerolls?

Hello, freerolls win a lot depends on the number of players in a tournament there, because it is not the same play between two hundred players between 5000 and 20000. latter two is more difficult to reach the final table that can receive strong blow your stak because they are free games and some players play very open looking to win with either hand.
It would be very good to add a pro to play ever a community freerolls with greetings.

On the final table he would be immense, getting there however would be interesting, he is known for playing any piece of the pot if he hits and i think he would find his reraising game not as easy as we have so many members who sit and wait with premium hands, its an interesting suggestion though.
Forget limping at his table - he will 3/4/5 raise/bet you with a range of hands.

There would be no sense in the game style of millionaire proplayer in a freeroll

Every tournament Daniel plays is a freeroll :) pokerstars likely pays for it all.

So he'd probably have the same win rate in CC games.

I loled at the answers.:D

I believe he may get to a couple of final tables but he aint gonna win it just in 30 tries. On the other hand, if somebody gave him his HUD stats for FRC members, then things may change.

I would be happy to give him my chips:)
And even more happy to take his chips:D

Good for the suggestions: cc pro in the frc (once a ...week/month/year/?)
I think it will be good for cc publicity, but the pro will do very well, I fear (less chance for me to win something).

I had this in mind when making the thread. Such a move could bring Cardschat even higher in terms of publicity. Maybe not Negreanu cause he will be on the expensive side, but maybe any decent streamer like Tonkaaaap, Staples etc

It will be fun for us to play with some poker pros but in the meantime it would also skyrocket Cardschat's reputation.

I don't know about Negreanu... but I have played the ACR freerolls for about 2 months and now I've been in the money in two consecutive days (!) and 2x in the same day.

I think it was PokerSnowie who helped...

Discipline!

It would be nice to play at the same table with a player like Daniel Negreanu, but unfortunately tournaments with such a prize fund are not interesting for him ...

Any good regular player would struggle in those games , FRC games may be a more quality freeroll but it's a freeroll. All those open limps , all those 3x-4x-5x open raises literally screw the dynamic of the table. Regulars nowadays are used to play small ball poker and go more often to a flop. They flat less and 3bet more often and more lightly.

Plus, since we talking about our FRC games below 50-60 players the only skill you need to have is luck, due to all those forced all ins. What else to do with approximately 10bbs which is the average stack size?

ABC poker is already played by the solid CCers so IMHO a pro has no edge here.

Don't forget that Jeff Gross is already part of our community and maybe at some point he will join us. He has more than 75 post :p

I think most of you are forgetting what makes a player like him so good. He is able to adapt and make the best decisions for that moment in time. He would quickly adapt to the level and style of play, as well as the players, and he would probably be a frequent presence in the money and would likely make quite a few final tables in one month.

i love daniel. i would expect him over the long run to have a higher % of finishes than the average player here. he plays small ball and adapts very well to his environment. He also is very good at reading hands. replace him with hellmuth and i would expect more blowups per hour than the average player here.

It doesn't matter if you're Negreanu or any other pro. If you play in a freeroll with more than 2000 players you need a lot of luck, not only skill to reach the final table.

Last time I watched him playing online it was when pokerstars opened in New Jersey and he was having a twitch session, and it didn't go very well. This means that now he has lost some of the online poker skills and is better in live poker;)

even Negreanu lost at poker, and many times, all the big players in the world, lost, its impossible to always win at poker, but i think he would make the final table at least once...:))

Playing a game against Jeff Gross in a free roll or low budget game, like the $3,30 games would be amazing.
Test your poker skills against a pro. :)

We had a series of buy-ins last year with Ryan Laplante.

The problem is they play poker for a living - finding time to commit to spending hours in a Freeroll is very difficult for them.

I think his "small ball" approach would not be effective. LOL

Cool thread :)
My best guess is that he would lose a lot tbh. I mean, everyone would want to be the one that busts out a pro, so there would be too many people in the pot, loose calls, races and stuff. Also the FRC is sort of a crazy hyper tournament, more so with 1500 stack, so it would still become a shove mania at some point and that is where variance kicks in.
Another thing is, what motivation would pro player need to have to play a freeroll the same way he would play wsop main event or big one for one drop..
