I think all those rules would be good to put into place. The only thing that really is bothering me is the whole interview thing with Daniel Coleman. I know this is really at the professional level, but these guys need to set a good example. I guess what I am saying is if you play at this level you need to make yourself available to the media and your fans. This is my rule

I disagree. Don't get me wrong, I love poker and I like following my favorite players. But these guys aren't NFL, NBA, NHL players...They don't have to make themselves available to the media. It's unfair to expect that of anyone.

It sounds like you are implying that NFL, NBA and NHL have to make themselves available, how is that fair to expect them and not other celebrities like poker players.

It's not merely an implication. It is the truth. Professional athletes are sponsored and paid by corporations/leagues, and they are bound by contract to be available to the media, or else they are fined.

If your under contract, then its fair to say that would depend on those terms within it.
Fans are what keep most sports alive. Our footy would suck without the Dedicated fans.

The wsop requires each participant to sign a Participant Release Form, which means that you consent to be shown on TV. They could easily add in a section on this release form that requires players who make the Final Table to participate in a news conference immediately after the November Nine is set, the day that the November Nine begins and then immediately following each player's elimination or, in the case of the winner, immediately after the tournament concludes.

I think it is good for poker if the people who win it consent to be interviewed. That would be another thing I would add to my list of duties as Poker Commissioner.

All professional sports contracts in the United States have terms that obligate players to be available to the media. Fans keep sports alive, and leagues want to keep fans happy by having the athletes be available to them.

I know one thing if i was in the position of being interviewed after a big win and a media whore came up and got involved in the interview i would say nothing and walk away and if they insisted i do the interview i would tell them exactly what i thought of what just happened. Yup they would get the interview maybe not on the terms they would hope for. Oh boy it would be nice to have to put up with this kind of stuff to say the least.

If you were involved in an interview, then that is also the media. There is no distinction between being "interviewed" and being "involved with the media".
