Hi everyone,

First of all, let me say hello to all the cardschat's readers as this is the first time I write a post in this place. Secondly, let me apologise in advance for any mistake I might make throughout the text, but English is not my first language.

I'm writing this post because I'd like to know what you think about several ideas that have ocurred to me to make more enjoyable and improve a home game I usually hold with my friends twice a week. Likewise, I'd be deligthed to hear from you any suggestion or some piece of advice about the matter. We mostly play 0.10/0.20€ cash, but once in a while we do a tournament with a low buy-in (10 €) and unlimited number of rebuys within a certain amount of time.

Let me first focus on the cash games. Some time ago, I introduced the seven-deuce game and it was a success since everyone seems to be very happy with it. I have to admit that usually only gamblers come to my place to play cash, so it's quite reasonable that we liked the seven-deuce game :p:p. For the future, I've thought of introducing to my friends the following ideas:

- Run it three times until the river. My idea is to give each player only one time to do this without having to get to an agreement. After someone makes use of their option, they can no longer use it again.
- Compulsory straddle during a table round.

What do you think about them?. Do you have any other idea I could apply?.

Let me now get into the tourney question. I usually like holding this kind of games because more people are willing to play. However, most of them are very passive so the game becomes quite boring while the blinds are not that high. Furthermore, due to their passivity, very few rebuys are made, so the average number of chips is low and so is the final prices. In order to fix this and bring a little of aggression, I've thought the following:

- Antes during the period of time with unlimited rebuys. In this way, the pot would start bigger and this could encourage people to get involved. After the time with rebuys, my idea is to play without antes.

- Usually rebuys are of 5€ and you get the same number of chips (1500) that you got with the buy-in. My idea is to increase the number of chips that you get for a rebuy (say it 2500) to benefit that people who play aggressively and don't mind rebuying.

- My last proposal can be seen as crazy and senseless, but what if we start playing NL Omaha during the time rebuys are allowed and then move to Texas?. I've observed that people like chasing draws when we play Omaha and pots then become huge, so in my opinion, this would make people spend all their chips early and therefore have to go for rebuys.

As you all can see, I'm quite concerned about getting more rebuys because most of the times we find ourselves with no more rebuys, high blind levels and very low average of chips, so the game turns into an All-in game where luck mostly takes place. What do you think then? Anything you would like to add?.

I'd be very pleased to hear any advice/suggestion.

Thank you very much for your replies.

Cheers!!!!.
