For those that have not read about this yet, in fact, player I7AXA finished 2nd Place in last weekends PS Sunday Million for $148K. He started playing 5K HU SNGs and got pummled until he had to drop to $30, $7 and then he was found playing FPPs even. Apparently he saved enough to play this weeks Sunday Million for a try at a repeat. :)

Did he not just win 148K last week? Are you saying that he lost everything?

Watched that SunMill final table play out & tbh he seemed really awful.
Not surprised to see him dump all of it. (often the one-hit wonders seem to dump it on cash tables just after the big score).

I followed the thread on 2p2 while it was happening in real time. Crazy degen. Played hyper turbo HU SnGs. Started at the $200s and went up to $5Ks and then back down to the $7s and then back to the $500s. Then finished it off with playing some FPP sattys to the next Sunday mill. What a ride.

Apparently he said, in a Russian forum, that he doesnt care about the money. Obv.

Spare us the sanctimony, this guy is the reason the poker economy can exist. It's a negative sum game. Hope he ships it again on Sunday.

Good god, that is truly sickening.

How people can't appreciate such a win is beyond me, maybe he lives on the edge but hell...5k SnG's? Is he nuts? lol

What a shame.

Wow, that is kind of amusing.
He may not care about the money, but holy crap, that's quite a chunk to just donk off.

Sigh! I wish he could have donated to a worthy cause Like American Red cross. They are a great charity and do good things for ppl in times of need.

Classic example of someone getting lucky and thinking they are a good player.

Maybe the players he donated to are giving types who donate to charities?

ha, just walk away!!

probably not a good player, but even a bad player can go, hmmm, this isnt going well, let me hang on to a chunk of this, read a few books, play lower stakes and maybe learn how to translate these winnings into more winnings

or cash out and say, wow a once in a lifetime win

now could it be that he couldn't cash it out for some reason (age?)

I watched that final table. The HU specialists must have been desperate to play him.

Any chance you can link that 2P2 thread?

What does age have to do with anything though? I don't get asked my age when I cash out of Pokerstars? So exactly why even bring this up?

...because it's against TOS to play underage, and if for some reason they did find out you'd been playing underage they might be able to take your money? IIRC it's common practice for Stars to temporarily freeze the accounts of players who have a big tournament win to confirm identity or carry out more through than usual background checks.

While it's possible that was the case here, I actually doubt it. There have been plenty of discussions elsewhere about why this almost certainly wasn't chip-dumping (as in most of what he lost he lost to regs at the stakes he was playing, he went on some winning / break even streaks and the way he was playing simply didn't support the idea he was dumping).
