how the people who start playing with $ 10 to get to have more than $ 100 or as high as $ 1000 ... they do it? tables s & g? big tournaments? or open tables? the verad is not like starting and I would be most helpful if I dijieran as they did. or there are more likely to grow to .. because if they are open tables 0.01 / 0.02 cents, it is also impossible to grow ... it is a very difficult start with $ 10:confused:

The most common way is to start at the 2nl, ie 0.01/0.02 $.
But I guess most people who start with 10$ and end up with 1k+ mix it up a lot with freerolls.
Its probably easier to start with nothing, and build from there. Starting with $10, well its not that easy to keep good BRM with that little.

1.With BR management: 2$ NL,PLO or whatever (that`s $0.01-$0.02 like you said)
2.Without BR management: 3 turbo MTTs for 3$ each

using 2nd will make you go broke more often then not

Mate, you'd be better by reading up on Bankroll Management...with only $10, you'd just about be best playing mostly Freerolls and building a Bankroll first plus the EXPERIENCE of playing lots of hands should help.

I am sure every one has a diffrent way they make it. A friend of mine won $5 in a free roll and turned it into over $100,000. He won a bad beat. You really have to find what works best for you. Some people do best at sngs some do better in large tournaments. Just dont put it all on one tournament that is the fastest way to lose it. If you do win big dont go crazy and spend t all back. Full tilt has an acadamy has lessons on bankroll mangement and all kinds of stuff to help out.

I started my FT BR by playing freefolls.

Now i have $43.I play .01/.02 and freerolls only.

You need a LOT of patiance doing it this way but when i started i was very much a beginner. Now that i have taken my time and played the micro limets and freerolls,i have lernt a lot and i know that soon i will be able to go up in blinds and there for start increasing my BR a lot quicker.

Patiance ,Patiance ,Patiance.

I started with $100, built up my bankroll a little with SnGs, then progressed to cash games. I play 50 NL because you can actually get decent sized pots (unlike in ultra-micro) and there's still a good amount of fish. Cash games are the way to go to build your bankroll for most people.

Personally I built up from 10$ a few times by playing the 1$ sngs (bad br management but I was willing to lose the money to learn). I played very tight and tried to get in the cash before anything else or making fancy plays.

Just deposit $50 and start playing nl$2 imo. There is nothing wrong with freerolling or just shot-taking with $10 either, especially if the money is not a lot to you.

I agree, if you can try to deposit around $50. Learn all about bankroll management and stick to it. Decide whether you want to play sng's or cash, then read a lot of strategy articles on whatever format you decide to play. Most importantly though is bankroll management.

2nl on stars > 2nl on FTP
FTP has min buyin of only 40c - Stars is 1$
FTP starts raking on small pots, stars does not

I have a very simple system that I don't always stick to, but in general I do. Never invest more than 10% of whatever your bankroll is on any one session/tourney. So if you've got $10, you're just short of allowing yourself to play $1.00 + .10 sng/mtt. Wait till you get $11 before you do that. Keep it going from there as you progress. You can never go broke.

if you playing on stars and you are confident in your poker game then grind out 2nl. if you put in a few thousand hands you should be able to grow your bank roll pretty good.

also stars has 10cent 360 player mtt's and 25 cent 45/90 player mtt's, thats not real hard on your bankroll and they are easy to cash in.

i buildl my bankroll playing those mtt's from $10 to $300+

all in all if you are a good poker player then just find your game and keep grinding. its not going to be instant and easy to do, but if you keep at it you will accomplish whatever your goal is.

If $10 is all you have in your account right now, then you re making the right mves by playing at the ultra low limits. When I first started playing for cash it was from a transfer from another player. After I made something out of that I moved up to the .02/.05. Once I was successful there and in a couple of the $1 + .20 SnG's, I decided to deposit $50. Keep going and you will either make some change or decide to deposit and enable yourself to play at a little hight level. The danger at that small of a roll and the .01/.02 tables it that there are a lot of people shoving so you have to learn to laydown what you think might be a winning hand or accept that some idiot thinks he's John Cada and reraises your AA 4x BB raise with pocket 33 only to hit his set. It happens...all day long! Good Luck. See you in the freerolls!!!

ETA, The $.25 satellites to the DD are worth a shot. If you hit 1st or 2nd you can unregister from the Donker and get $1T. You can either turn that into cash or use it to help pay for the entry to any SnG.

I stuck to the 0.10 buy in on FT nightly. Got luck and won one and kept it rolling for there.

IMO i'd deposit $40 to make it upto $50 and start playing 0.01/0.02 cash games to build it up to $100 so u can play NL5.
IMO u shud buy HEM aswell. Its a poker tool which will help u out alot in the long run and making it upto NL5 ($100) alot mor easier.

Many suggested ring game (ie Nl2) which is fine if you're ring player.
If you're on the other hand more of a tournament fan, you can always play those 0.10 + 0.02 SnGs.

You'll have pretty healthy bankroll for playing them. You can try 1$ ones by then you're risking more to lose BR.

I would suggest those 0.10c if you have patience. First place gets 50c, second 30c, and third 20c...

In March 2009 I won $10 in a private freeroll on cake. I started playing $1 sngs (30 person) while also playing higher buyins on pokerstars with my BR over there.

I kept playing the $1s until I built my BR up to $50-$60 then I was mixing in the $3 PLO/8 sngs (6 players).

My big break came towards the end of September when I came in 2nd place in the $5 36 person SNG for $45 PLUS a ticket into a $5,000 freeroll. I ended up in 4th place out of 190+ in the freeroll for $405.

This win shot my BR close to $600 and I played a $5 rebuy PLO tournament 2 days after I won the $405. Well I came in first in the $5 rebuy for $360 which shot my BR over $900.

During November I mixed in PLO cash and some MTTs (mostly the $5 rebuy PLO and PLO/8 MTTS) and I have built my roll over $2,000.

My goal is to get to $4,000 by the end of the year so then next year I can start making some real money. :)

Edit: I decided in October to cash out my Stars BR and focus on my play on cake (because of my success and rakeback). I took the money from Stars and just deposited it into my bank account.

^ this.

There's really no such thing as bankroll management when you've only got $10. So just take your best game, whether that's SnGs, NLHE ring games, Razz, whatever, and take your shot. With a little luck you'll grind your way up to a level where you can start to apply proper bankroll management. If not, reload or win another freeroll or do whatever it was you did in the first place to get that $10 again.

Or just deposit a proper amount, like tenbob said.

well i won $30 in a freeroll and build it up to $145 in one night and then lost it the next day. I had QQ and lost to two pair and then i lost to two pair with AA. Went on tilt and lost it. so don't do that.
