re: Poker & I seem to tilt when I win.
In live poker I've gotten the same feeling. The times I've done the best are when I ride it out. The trick is stopping
I'll make some aggressive moves and they get paid off. Then I'll keep pounding the limpers from position. If that works I'll extend what I consider "in position". I've had this go all the way to UTG + 2. Admittedly that was an extremely weak table and I had a couple of sheriffs get broken when I made my draws...
Basically I keep telling myself "I'll keep raising with any connectors until someone tells
me I can't". This is live poker. As your aggressive wins go up the confidence you express also goes up. You play solid (not donk poker) but very aggressive raises and never let the limpers play when you're in position. Eventually your run will cool off and you go back to normal hand selection. You lose a few hands detecting it, but if you've run the table a couple of times you're still WAY in the positive.
DON'T try and push right back into that zone (TILT!) and DON'T try and create that scenario. Learn to detect when that kind of run has started and ride it out.
Online is different (for me anyway). The faceless nature means people will donk up too frequently to make a real run happen.
