I am just curious what stakes you were playing with that $10?
Did you hit 1/2 penny NL?
And was this your entire bankroll?
Many people make the mistake when they win a nice amount from a freeroll to immediately hit the money tables without taking into consideration whether or not the have a proper bankroll to play with.
My father does this all the time. He will win $1 maybe more and immediately hit the 1/2 NL tables at Jetset. And then only play like $0.50 cent or a quarter of it trying to make is stretch.
I keep telling him he needs a much larger bankroll than that since the Max Buy in is $5.
But, he doesn't listen.
I have close to $30 in my account and still won't play those tables.
I just keeping grinding out the freerolls
for money until I have enough to sit down and play those. It may be a long time. But, I have money at other sites as well. So, I am in no rush to spend that money playing beyond my bankroll.
Remember, poker is a game of patience. And that includes patience with your bankroll.
If you had $10 you could have you could have hit a 2/4 cent table with like $2.40 and would be able play with a sense of comfort.
Yes 2/4 cent limit is not as thrilling as 1/2 penny NL.
But, with only $10 you have to think about making a bankroll. Not trying to make a quick buck. Because you will usually just lose.
