I noticed this myself over the first 4 live tourney's I played, and verified it in the last few.

The first hand I get involved in I shake, physically. It is like the culmination of my excitement for the day finally getting released. The second hand I play is much less animated. After that I am fine.

To me it seems very visible, and I assume it is. I have used it to bluff the third hand I play.

I think the majority of players playing their first hand or game is going to have you shaking with excitement, especially when getting good hands in your first game.

I dont shake but I can feel the nervousness in my body from playing first hand and getting chips in for the first time in a tourney.

you know that's not a tell because you don't give away any information right?

If you can't control this your screwed. The only thing you can do is shake all the freakin time, but that will never work. You have stay relaxed by breathing properly. Try some meditation exercises or stick to online poker.

Oh yeah and the trick is to control your breathing because that can be a tell too. I heard someone the other day say they like to cover their neck because he thought people were looking at veins and breathing patterns on his neck and atoms apple.

that's not a big tell, everyone may feel uncomfortable for the first hand.

even u looked nervous when dealt first hand, but it happens every time, so other players will not able to notice, what u really holds...meaning still no information on your holdings.

yeah they may use ur emotion of nervous, but still OK for your game , LOL

well dj11 looks like the shaking is to your advanatage you may want to check and see if it works alot more to make big bluffs on some big pots just to test it . some players look at how you react to hands by visiual things you do at the table. that could be to your advanatage just a thought. i could be wrong but im sure you could make a good bluff on a good pot by doing it just give it a shot once and see and good luck at the table my shaky friend.

Maybe go to the casino Half hour before you play and have a scotch to relax...then when you sit at the table, clear your mind, dont think about anything, just listen and observe your breath for a few minutes then you will be relaxed for the rest of your time at the table..

I had the same problem, the more i played the less it happened. I think its a tell that you are new to live poker not your playing ability. you will settle down and then you will find your real tell, good luck!

I have this awful tell where everytime I flop a set I scream YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! and pull down my zipper and drag my nuts across the felt.

I'm thinking shades and a cap may help hide this one.

try bluffing the first hand or two to see if you shake there as well

and 1 beer should be enough to take off the edge

Well, I know they say "raise when you're holding the nuts", but really...

Its common to have the shakes at the beginning of a tournament. There is a lot of anticipation of waiting all day for a tournament.

Have you ever noticed that after a few orbits you are more comfortable?
