Ok, the title pretty much says it all. My wife, who (as I said about 30 minutes ago when I joined) banned me from playing for real money (yes im whipped but oh so happy) just agreed to let me try a small amount as a test.

I have a 30 bank role. I'm primarily a tournament player, either sit and go's or multi-table tournaments. I'm wondering what peoples opinions are? What is the best site for US low limit tournament players? Whats the best place to go through the grind of building a bank role?

If anybody has any advice please be sure to explain, a name doesn't tell me any more than I already know. Also bonuses aren't really such a consideration with a stack this size, so they probably won't be the impetus for me choosing a site. Thanks in advance

I think you should go with Stars because of the selection of low sngs.

Do you already have accounts on both sites? If not, use the CC signup for Stars and get $25 extra on top of your $50 1st deposit bonus. Just click the PokerStars link at the top of this page.

I'd pick Stars over Tilt because at the lowest $ SnGs the rake is better at Stars.

With 50 try in stars, sit and mtt of all types.

With 30 and looking for small fields maybe try Carbon.

They have the Daily new deposit freerolls, when you 1st deposit have 15 days of this games, they are small fields of 100-120 people where 20 places are paid, and go from $5 to $150, also with your first deposit have a ticket for a $1000 freeroll.

They also have MTT and sits for low limits (as low as 60c for sits and 0.06 for Mtt)

i think Cardchat have a promotion of 300%bonus for carbon.

If I was you I'd go pokerstars... then buy in to $1.20 or less sit n go's and build your bankroll up slowly. Also at stars for a buck you can buy in to a multi tourney and take a shot at a really good prize pool. Good luck where ever ya put it! Just remember to play low stakes and build your bankroll up first.

:)

depends on the type of tourneys you like. full tilt offer alot of big garaunteeds but big buyins. stars on the other has a numerous amount of lower buyin tourneys. 25c 90 mans 10c 360 mans i been oing ok in 2.20 90 mans. just play your A game and you should be ok. remember that its poker and best hand does not always win but if you play it right you will in more than you lose

stars, because of the micro tournys. you can buy in for .50 or a $1. and the top 20% make the money. some have added money from stars, and the play is weak. its a good way to build your roll playing tournys.

Stars IMO.
FT would be my second choice, but there's more micro options at Stars.

I would check out the various bonuses for joining at the different sites and then what type of deposit method they allow. I think I checked out Bodog at one time because they said they had a $20 min deposit but the middle man "ewallet" or whatever it was called had a $100 minimum to sign up with them so yes it was $20 min deposit on Bodog but it was actually $100 out of pocket to do it, so I just stuck to their freerolls. I use MC debit on UB for deposits and have had no issues with deposits or withdrawls with them.

I think the person who suggested merge (carbon, pokercs, reefer etc) is right- the depositors freerolls should be able to make you about $30 (equivalent to 14 $3 buyins?), plus the new player $50 freerolls if you have the time

then withdraw! you can then deposit at pokerstars so you have say $60 plus bonus and that should be enough to play the $1.10 turbo 45 person sngs there which should be profitable over time and you'll clear a bigger bonus!

Best bet for 30

Hi,

If you just want a lot of play for $30, Poker Stars is a perfect choice. You could literally play up to 300 real $ games for $30. You can play a 360 player game for 10 cents with no fee for the host. You can't get much better than that.

They also have lots of $1 single and multi-table tournaments. That is what I play.

See you there maybe,

Carthalion

Stars for sure, lots of great micro tournys.
$1+.10? double or nothing tournys
$0.10 360 man tourny at all times
There's even some sweet 10c or 25c MTT's with guaranteed prize pools that are always a good time.
