At this point, I'm sure you've heard the name Sheldon Adelson. For those who live under a rock, he is an entrepreneur who purchased a hotel/casino in the late 80s and has recent took a major stance AGAINST online poker. Don't let me do the talking for you, feel free to form your own opinion.

Here is some more information about Sheldon's company, to properly educate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Vegas_Sands

Here is a website funded by Sheldon's company: http://www.stopinternetgambling.com/index.html

Even better, that site is promoting a youtube video, just recently published. Feel free to follow this link, give it a thumbs down, do some proper bashing on the comments, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Lan7yhpqIIo

His motives are very clear, and disturbing quite honestly. If you have the chance, I encourage any possible boycot and proper bashing if applicable. :)

He is far from being a moron... However, his greed is apparent. His philosophy seems to be that it is only ok to gamble at his casinos.

You can't be a moron and build a business empire as large as his, however if you look at many builders of business empires you will find that they tend to be extremely ruthless and often dishonest as well. Where it becomes dangerous is when they have enough money to actually purchase the judicial system and fund ostensibly grassroots organizations that are nothing more than media fronts for promoting their interests. The grassroots part happens daily in every industry, buying a judge sounds like something out of a John Grisham novel but the CEO of Massey Energy actually did this and so far has gotten away with it.
