I ask a silly question for live tourney -- time to go to rest room

If you drink some or more water on long tournament....

and went to restroom during the middle, not during the game - time- break...

then....

any timebank could use for live tourney?

nobody is going to want to wait for you because you can't hold it in

just go when you are in middle position when you probably would need extra strong hand to play anyway and maybe get back for your blind and if not no big deal anyway,

You would just be a sit out until you get back. No, they are not going to give you a time bank and make everyone else wait.

Or you could just try to wait for the break.

Away from table will be auto fold, wait until you are in a position like on the button and know you are not playing the hand, walk fast and depending on play you may not even miss a hand.

Wait until your CO+1, wait until it is your turn to act, fold then go do the business. Do not just leave the table, some places will give you a 2 hand sit out for folding out of turn when you get back,

I can not drink water on tournament days for that very reason and I hate it. even without drinking water I usually have to go a couple of times when it is not break time. That is when breaks are every 90 min. At the Venetian where the breaks are every 2 hours I have to go once most times before the breaks.

I have never played anywhere that penalizes you for missing hands. (Though ofc you will have to pay your blinds if you miss them).

Tournament structures are determined by men - no woman would expect to have to wait 2 hours for a break lol.

I cant go to the bathroom during normal breaks cause of too many ppl. I just pick a hand in MP and leave during normal play when its quiet.

For a good laugh at the table, raise your hand and ask for permission.

If you are not in your seat the dealer deals out the cards as normal and then will put your cards into the muck - usually before any action by any other player.
If you happen to be in a blind and not in your seat, the dealer will take the chips off your stack for the required blind and put them out - same with ante (usually happens through another player assisting the dealer who cannot reach your stack.)
Dealers vary on their timing for this. Some will allow you to come to the table and play the hand if they see you are on your way.
Some will see you are on your way, look you dead in the eye, and then muck your cards (I assume to show you who's boss).
Some will not give two hoots about looking out for you and just muck your cards because they didn't see you with your hand on your chair to pull it out and sit down.

I am not a big hand washer but this is one place I do - all those people handling MY cards...

After raising you should kindly ask the table if they can wait for you to take a leak. Can you trust they won't look at your cards, though?

If you still have the empty water bottle then you can save yourself the trip.

Just be discreet.

Plus, if you do this, free drink!

Thats like peeps eating with their fingers@ the table while playing cards.I could never do that a knowing all the germs on my hands from just handling the cards.
