Share with us your first live tournament in a casino, made mistakes ?

I particularly was confused when handling the chips. I did not know the values of each. And all the time forgot to put the mandatory bets . hahaha

It was a 7-card stud tourney many years ago & I placed 7th when they paid 8.
My 1st NLH tourney was a tragedy. I had pocket queens 1st hand of tourney & lost to kings & they said REBUY very loudly so everyone in the poker room heard it. Second hand I get kings & get it all-in again versus the same guy I lost to the 1st hand & he had aces. So on the 2nd hand they said player down & I of course I had a table at back of poker room so I had to take walk of shame after 2 hands in the tourney. I surely was a rookie & a terrible player at that time.

I also fumbled with the values of the chips, but the hardest thing for me was to calculating all the time to know what is pot's size.

Very intimidating and exciting. My first live play was on a cruise(nothing like a real casino, placed in the money 2 out of the three tourneys. First real casino I got schooled.

Hahaha my first casino experience was the same! It's so easy to push the buttons and manage your chips when playing online but in casino... Pretty funny times :)

My first time at the Casino was overwhelming. The people, the tables, the noise. After roaming about for a while I decided I wanted to play roulette. After playing Roulette for a few hours I managed to turn $50 into $1440, beginners luck.

So my first casino experience was a positive one, not playing poker but on Roulette.

I must admit that my curiosity was great to think that I might bring in that place.
I would never have imagined the fate that would or rather if I imagined.
My first time in a casino already of legal age needed to know was that strange place so when my uncles and cousins were accepted to go.
I entered and my eyesight was affected by heavy flooding colored lights this place looked huge, although it surely was not. My spirit lynx eternal debutante is active. I was already inside the enclosure.
With 200 pesos in my pocket I was ready for action. My cousin told me if I wanted to change my money to bills of 10 pesos (for obviously make lower bets, was my 1st time and would not risk so much). But I said no yet. I wanted to analyze what my winning machine.
casino
I remember finding one of those down-classics 777 coins so I decided to start. As it was far from the turning point I borrowed my cousin 10 $ to start "playing" obviously return them when it changes.
I pressed the button and began to spin and bonus .. !! what he said was a screen up, a roulette also turned stopping in the box of 100 pesos, which ended up being my prize.
There I was, with my face-winning security, feeling the luckiest man in the world. Obviously vice began to want to win and played once again and I lost $ 10, but not to worry since I retire immediately

Loud and the people were obnoxious. If I could mute people in real life I would enjoy live play a lot more.

I was totally terrified and kept forgetting about the antes, but I must say everyone was very nice and I didn't do anything too stupid. I didn't win any money but I wasn't the first out so I felt ok.

At the beginning I was excited. I was surprised how often other players reveal their pocket-cards.

I feel a little lost, too, language, chips and everything, but I can not complain, because the second tournament ended up in third and the third ended up in second.
