I learned from a cousin of mine I literally teaching the basics of poker. Then I started playing freerolls at pokerstars and I realized that was not playing enough to ensure some Spiked . I decided to find out more about the game , and learned some techniques on websites , youtube and twitch of team pros . I still think I have a lot to learn in poker, but this contact with the internet helped me a lot .

When I started playing poker was a sport and was not even sure how it should play
by the time I was learning, for that I was participating in sites that spoke of poker gated communities with many renowned players and came light ( be poker player too)
of course this has not yet happened but I'm working to get it one day

I learned long ago the basics of most of the popular poker games, but really started diving into the theory and math after watcing Jcarver on twitch for the first time. I still learn a lot from twitch poker, but also do some research of my own.

I honestly don't remember, Just a natural I guess. started out playing .05/10 rush poker and 5$ &10$ sngs and would move up to fast. would deposit $50 to 100 and would always run it up to $300+ then would end up losing it. Then black Friday hit, discovered poker forums and learned a lot, mainly bankroll management and have done well since.

My grandfather taught me when I was 12. He taught me how to play pot limit/no limit holdem, five card stud, and seven card stud. We played a lot of heads up when I was young and would also playing with my uncles. Then obviously as I got older I started playing my own home games, playing online, going to the casino. When I was thirteen he gave me the best advice I've ever got, it relates to poker and life in general "Always believe in yourself, always trust your instincts and don't ever be afraid to lose"

I play poker recently. So I still have to learn so much. But from personal experience I would say that when only began playing poker only knew the combinations. But when I realized that I can not win then I decided to check out the theory. And just typed in google "Game Theory in No Limit Texas Hold'em." And I read voraciously. I discover a lot of new.It turns out there where I had dropped it was necessary to raise and where did call needed to fold. I was very surprised. Although I still consider myself a fairly predictable player. Sometimes I read here on CC forum different situations that occur with the same players like myself. I watch online big events with open cards. And yet, very often I show weakness.I trust my intuition rather than pot odds. Sometimes it ends badly for me at the table. :)

I actually learned through a game called "The governor of poker"

It was, for a PC game, really cool.

Then I went to play money on a bunch of online sites, then I went on to real money.

Then I went broke...lol

That was all about Texan hold'em. Stud and draw games I learned in Texas 40+ years ago.

In early childhood played a match in five-card poker don't remember who taught. And then in 2009 we saw a television broadcast of poker Texas hold'em I thought it was much more interesting than I played the matches. Signed up to PokerStars and play to this day.

I learned to play poker on the internet with the table of poker hands in a restored window open because it was decorating the combinations of cards with the possibilities of the game. I learned to play alone . A formidable game.

Firstly i red basics of poker, then I was playing zynga poker on fb.I found poker interesting for me and decided to install Stars.I was playing only play money games. After a while I decided to play real money games but just freerolls (that was two years ago). Then I saw Cardschat freerolls on Stars (few months ago) and decided to play them, and that was the best move because that brought me here on this forum where I am still learning and can improve my game in every segment :)

Learned online .. the basics

I read the rules from the Pokerstars site for each game .. this gave me the basics. The rest came from watching poker on the television and playing freerolls to understand the betting etc.

I came up in online poker before the era of training sites and coaching and forums so those weren't really options. I learned mostly from just ridiculous amounts of play and then reviewing my hands after sometimes. I read a few books as well.
