Just wonder if you still pay at bodog how do you go about depositing? I have master cards with citibank and it seem like there isn't any way you can deposit with it.

If you are a US customer, here's an email response I received from Bodog last week:
.

Our current deposit methods available are:

1) Visa/MasterCard/Prepaid Gift Card (Please make your deposit online via our website or by calling Bodog Deposits at 1-888-263-0000 Ext. 3.)

2)
NuCharge (A 3rd party eWallet that allows you to use Credit Cards to fund your account. Please visit Prepaid phone cards made easy... - NUCharge to open your NuCharge account)

3) eWalletXpress (A 3rd party EWallet with several funding options, including Electronic Checking/ACH, Bank Wire and Money Order. Please visit http://www.ewalletexpress.com to open your eWalletXpress account.)

Please feel free to try one of the above alternatives or contact me directly and I can assist with setting up an appropriate method for you. Thanks again for your patience; we will have you up and playing shortly.

The only time I ever play at Bodog is cc events, so honestly, to me it's not worth the trouble. But if any of this helps you, best of luck.

I've had good results on a couple of sites (incl Bodog) with my Wells Fargo debit card, running it just like a credit card (visa). From what I've heard, this seems to work with most "brick & mortar" banks, but not with many online-only banks. I have looked at some of the alternative "e-wallet" options, but I've found that they all charge near-criminal transaction and/or monthly fees, so the debit card option is by far the best in my opinion. By the way, I've never tried an actual credit card, nor would I recommend it due to the exorbitant cash advance fees and rates most card providers charge.

On another note, if you don't have one already it might be a good idea to open a separate checking account for poker, anyway . . . this helps you manage your bankroll, and you can limit your potential losses due to fraud by only keeping small amounts of money in there, just in case anything ever goes wrong (although I'm not worried about that with any of the major poker sites).

Hope that helps a little. . . .

My BofA debit card works as well. Normally they charge a minimal monthly fee, $5 or so, for a basic account. I told them I was opening this account for online security so I could make my err... ummm... ebay purchases and what not through it and they eliminated the fee as they saw it as a 'safety' type account for online purchases. Also, if you do not currently have a Bank of America account you could explain you are using them for your online purchases to test them because you may bring your other accounts to them at a later date (more incentive for them to comp the account fee).
