Hey guys and gals, just thought it would be fun to ask the question what's working for you?Are you making your money playing 4 SnG's at a time, ring games at a certain level,or is playing a certain type of tourney paying off? Can't wait to hear from everybody.

For me im currently trying to build my bankroll from nothing. Ive got 5.80 so far playing the 30c satellites on FT but its really hard to stay consistent with the fish. After i build up to 15$ i will play the 1$ STT and 2$NL and see how it goes. Also hoping to cash in some CC freerolls

I built my BR by playing $1 SNG's with an occasional cash game. Lately, I've been trying my hand at MTT's and it has been a mixed bag.

I deposited $20 earlier this year at FT. Played $1.20 STTs till I got to $45. Played $2.25 until I was over $100. After that mixed it up a little with some small ring games and Rush. Had to withdraw $100 a few times for emergencies.

Last week had my BR to $290+. Started tilting 4 tabling Rush $10nl after I was felted 200bbs deep when guy hit 2 outer on the river. Dropped 9 Buy-ins after that:(. BTW if you are playing Rush and start to tilt get the hell out of there even quicker than you would in a normal ring game.

After rakeback today back to $220. Think I will 1 table Rush with HUD and maybe do some $6.50 STT's. Plus I try to play 1 Rush 135 player $4.40 per day.

At many sites you can deposit as little as $10. If you do this at FT I suggest 30c SST satellites to the daily dollar. Top 2 get entry and third gets a quarter. Then just un-register for you T$. I have worked my way up like this many times with less than $5. If you lose your whole $10 on these you need to work on your game a little. That's if ya got $10 and are sick of freerolling for it.

You can get free money from Absolute Poker through a No deposit site, you can google it. Start with $25 and a bonus to clear, and more after you play some. Adds to $125.

I usually play in a few sit and gos at once like one table ones with 6 people and do very well most of time. I also sometimes do the multi table sit and gos with 90 and usually get top 5 at least. Hope this helps you out.

Well when I first started with my bankroll I made out from freerolls around 10$.
After that I went to 1.10$/2.20$ Tournaments (I now am a BIG BIG fan of BLT) .
After that its your choice what you do and how you play.
My advice: Don't play NL Holdem tables , maximum do PL or Omaha H/L ;).

For 'building bankroll', it depends... > depends on what site (ie. on Fulltilt I play completely different games than what I'd play on pokerstars).

Good bankroll builders on Fulltilt (imo) are the 45's (& 27's). Can't stand the 90-KO's but some use them to build with.

For the past year I've always been battling br management.. always goes by chucking 20 dollars in.. doubling it or something, then a bad streak comes I go on tilt. and blow it all..happened exactly the same way about 5 times... then 6th time I was up about 250 dollars.. but I was breakeven and slowly declining for about a month straight.. eventually tilted and blew it all..I got so angry and swore I'd never do that again.. now I'm 300 dollars up and had the same badswings as ever before and got through it..

Patience and Dicipline are one if not the most important keys to be a successful poker player imo. its fairly obvious of course but hard to stay true to

I build my bankroll by playing double-up sngs and then use the winnings to play Mtts. I bet on sports as well. I manage to make a few bucks so I'm happy.

Accumulate around $10 from freerolls or DD satellites then play $1 STTs and increase the stakes as appropriate from there.

make a deposit and stick to 5% of your bankroll, or if you cant afford to deposit a good bankroll, deposit until you build a small one then go from there.

I don't know about FT but the $1.40 90 man KO on Stars is easy money as far as I'm concerned. The KO averages out to even money. The field on weekends is very loose and is often over half gone with the first 45 mins. I just wish I had more time to play but I have to focus on school.

For the OP. My BR was built from nothing twice as I had to cash out the first one mostly last year. Just make sure you don't get ahead of yourself and lose it all playing outside your means.

At the moment i am making money by playing 4-10 stts and throwing in some of the 4+40 rush tourneys.. i tried to get into cash during take two and really enjoyed it, so when my roll is a bit bigger i think i might try to take that seriously, but at the moment im a losing cash player
