Every year the main event coverage makes a point to focus briefly on "the bubble boy", the last non-prize-winning player eliminated.

I've wondered however, what about the person who is the first one eliminated in the first flight of day one?

How would you feel about being eliminated first in the Main Event? I think I'd want to crawl into a hole for a few months.

I think that'd be a very, very disappointing and soul destroying moment in one's life.

It would feel awful to have your dreams crushed like that, but someone always has to go out first. I think they should make some kind shrine for it. Each person that goes out first gets their name remembered forever.

Well , that would really hurt , but how much , that depends on how I got that ticket/buyin . If I paid the whole sum then , s*** , I would be psychologycally devastated , but if I earned it via a satellite and paid 100$ or less it would hurt not very much:) .

Look, it depends. I would review my move, and draw the right conclusion, because the removal may have been unlucky in the deck of the fruit, not a poorly executed move.

It would have to be a bad beat, or series of them, for that to happen to me. No way I would commit my chips that early without the certified final monster. Monster against monster is where the money is made though.

For a few years the same person was the first one out every time. He would go all-in 1st hand every year no matter his cards. He did this a few times. An obvious case of more money than brains. I know I would be very disappointed to be the first one out.:D:D

I think that being eliminated by taking a bad on the river would be the worst thing in the world, even more so if you had an AA and in the pre flop the all-in guy. Terror terror hahaha

I agree with matsyendra after trolling for hours through to the bubble and then to be eliminated is an awful feeling, whether it is in the main event or any other tournament, there again someone has to be first ans well as there has to be a bubble boy/girl

Well to be the first eliminated in the main event is to be the first as in every tournament. The question is if that $10000 entry fee is your last money or is 5 or less % of it. Also assume that most of the players there are donks. Rich guys who won a home game against their dumb buddies and decided to enter the event just because they were in the same hotel. So hell no, if you hold AA the first hand and get suck out by 72o well shit this is a bad beat and you must live it. This year big names like Phil Ivey and Phil Hellmuth got eliminated before the bubble. So in 99% of the time you enter the main event you won't be eliminated first. Also the guys were around 6000 and there were around 1000 paid places. The first 5000 guys gone away the first 2 days. The chances you enter the money are huge if you know how to play so 1 day I will give it a try when I make a big bankroll online. A person from my country got in 53rd place this year so I got that going for me which is nice. :)

Win! That's right, you should play a tournament to beat it, there is no better feeling in poker. The hours after a tournament win will be completely happier, you can be sure. When you win your first MTT, you may end up becoming a player because of such a sense of reward. Typically, when you play tournaments with very large fields, wins will have considerable space between them, so when you win, the feeling of victory will last for days, maybe even weeks!

I don't believe you got the question. He asked what would feel like to be the first eliminated not to win the tournament.

Oh what a bad bad imagination  . But I think I wouldn't be in such situation except my first hand would be pocket aces. I couldn't stop to go all in with this hand. Is such an obligation :-D . But for sure there is no guarantee to win with this hand. Otherwise I think someone else would be the first :p .
