I've been playing poker constantly but never won a good prize.Always 20ç or 40ç ,75ç and never 4$ 5$ or even 10$USD.I've read books, whatched videos from PRO's and so on,but my results are the same.I'm upset with myself because I cannot see my improvement.I would like to know if is there a way to win fast?

Try not to get upset about it, tournaments have a great variance even. Try playing other modes and see which one suits you the most. But if you want to continue playing tournaments, good luck

in tournaments with a small entrance it is very difficult to build a strategy, there players are unpredictable and play against any logic and sometimes luck is with them and you lose, for the reading in the books you have to find a suitable tournament

I have reached several final tables last year for example got 5th place in CC freeroll on 888 on 31st December. My overall experience says you need to be very aggressive and a bit of lucky in ST games and freeroll but in normal tourneys with deep starting stack solid ABC poker with skillful implementation like position etc are enough to make you run deep and gain good $$$.

My impression for freerolls:
- if you play by the books, you'll regularly get a small prize
- to reach the final table you have to be agressive and very lucky (and the variance will be huge)

You want to win fast? There's a lotto or casino. Poker needs patience.
(sorry if i was cynical)

As a relative beginner I can agree with what everyone is saying - patience, start with tight & good ABC poker, then loosen up and use your stack very aggressively if you can afford it, remember the 10BB rule.

I have played several micro tournaments and managed to finish 70 - 90 of 3000+ with those rules. It's not massive, but I am learning and at least the tournaments pay for the ones where I miss the money. Be prepared to concentrate for 3hrs+ though, even for "small" tournaments - you need to be switched on all the time to pick the right moments to strike.

at the beginning of the tournament you have to be very aggressive and quickly fill the stack, closer to the button do not risk, and at the final table play with a strong hand and be more aggressive then others

In such a game as poker only very lucky guys can win easy and fast, if you are not one of those, you have to be patient for first. Play tourneys with low quantity of players (45 SnG 90 SnG) to get more chances to win. You will feel confidence after making FT or winning and than you will repeat it easily!

Tournaments are very hard to win, since there are usually a lot of people in them.

Basically, you need to avoid making mistakes and be sure to pack a decent amount of luck.

What I'm trying to say is don't worry about it, it's hard, but sooner or later you will win one.

Like most have already said, play tight, establish a solid table image and exploit it. I don't know what buy-in level you are playing. I noticed a big jump in say ten dollar buy-ins and above verses lower buy-ins in reguards to skill levels and overall better play. So you might try a higher buy-in. Try not playing poker for a day or two and let your mind refresh itself. Play without any distractions and focus on taking notes on every player. Try playing the same tourney, at the same time, every day so you will see a lot of the same players. The more you see certain players you will be able to read them better. Don't let your pride and emotions get the best of you when it comes to folding a decent hand. How are playing certain hands in some positions, try tighting up your range in some positions that you see you are leaking chips in. Are you over playing some hands? Try calling instead of reraiseing in some spots. Use pot control bet sizing in some areas.

Nope there is not a fast way to winning tournaments.

Patience and practice is the key, following a good strategy will help you to start running deep into tournaments. Play optimal pre-flop and post-flop. Make sure you haven't got mistakes in your game, if you are watching how the pro's play and are trying to play the same way as them, that is probably where you are going wrong, you may find out you have some major leaks to your game. Look around and read articles about tournaments on the internet, there are a lot of good articles out there. It is difficult to tell what you need to do to win, you have to find the right strategy that suits you.

love this post this is the best advice I've seen in a while and it goes to show that even though you can search the internet for articles and videos you can get great advice just by asking on CC

and the advice I will give is that with online poker if you are going to run deep(FT deep) you will know it because you will get a LOT of premium hands in the same tourney, but you will still need to be able to fold some of these and the one biggest leak that I had was chasing too many flushes and gutshots(serious chip loss if it does not arrive at bigger blinds) now I fold most of these and my range is pretty tight as I only play on average about 23% of the 169 starting hands

I didn't win tournaments. It will be found. But I think it's important to have patience.
