I remember coming home from school in grade 2 and my dad would let me play on his play money account on pokerstars. I am 20 now and still have a love for poker.

I was homeschooled and my father and grandmother taught me different variations of poker to teach me some basic and complex mathematics. So I've been playing poker since about 9yrs old. I am almost 31 now. So I am closing in on playing for 22 years. I have played seriously for around 11years.

Started playing at 18 with friends, hosting tournaments weekly in my house, those were good times. Use to play small 5er rebuy tournaments in local casino, where I got a great deal of enjoyment. Instantly loved it the game [emoji453]

My first time playing poker I was 18 years old

I started playing poker cause' of a friend that told me about it and I did not listen to him at the beginning cause' he wanted me to play and earn money and dedicated to play and try to be a professional poker player so I was not really interested but equal I play for fun with free chips and some friend in some parties then I started to play online and I have a lots of fun everyday now I'm 19 years old and I like to play almost everyday.

I hope I could play poker for the rest of my life cause' I really love this game and I hope I could keep earning money playing this amazing sport and keep improving my game.

I was 18 years old and it was a big game of poker I made money roofing with the people that lived next door and they were a wild bunch but me and my dad would have our weekend poker games with them and they played games like follow the Queen match the pot and what ever card that comes after the Queen is wild and baseball and games like that for big money.
So that is the type of poker game I cut my teeth in a game where I could win or lose 2,500 to 3,000 in a night at 18 years old just starting out and most times I won the 2,500 or 3,000 because I was playing aginst a bunch a bunch of drunk or high roofers. Then I graduted to the easier live poker rooms for 3-6 and 10-20 action at PLO or NLH action after those wild roofer game which made those wild roofer nights seem like a walk in the park and made it easier to play and win at live action casino games. By then I already had enough hands in I knew what to play and what not to play to know what what +EV and what wasn't and have been making a killing torcking these roofers I just had to thighen my range a little against some of these casino pros and you know who they where by watching them play for about 15 to 30 minutes or so they were the displined people that folded most there hands out of position and played a select few in position and played those with extreme aggrestion. They won when they were in a hand most the time and the pots were big when they were in it because they knew how to build those pots. That's how I played as well. If I lose a pot off to the next one oh well I got ran down so be it there's another to be had on another hand don't let the bad beat get you down. Play on and play your A game every hand because the game will get you if you don't that's the way I was told and taught at the big game with the roofers and I've always played that way and you should always play that way anyway. I've been in tounerys before where I took massive beats for most my chips and came back and won them when it almost seem impossible to comeback from such a small stack but I did and won the whole thing because the way I think. I think that it is never over until your done. I have even cashed in a WPT Event played at Seminole Hardrock Tampa before with Scotty Nguyen at my table and you know how annoying he can be sometimes. He was actually fun to play with he told a bunch of poker stories and I made the money and I was happy then he busted me on a beat and he said sorry man and we shook hands before I went to collect my money it was cool. Not to often you get to sit with Scotty at the poker tables and hear his war stories. any way. Yes I was 18 when I started playing poker.

I actually started playing poker about 8 years ago. I'm 38 now so started playing later than most. I was a lumber grader at the local mill when i broke my neck in a freak accident when I was about 27. After rehab and a lot of prescription medication I was still unable to work. I was depressed and wasn't getting out at all when my oldest son and my in laws invited me to a home game. I had a little beginners luck and got 15 knockout chips and won the tourney I made like 400 bucks that night and realized I might have a way to still support my family. I've grinded and grinded and read and studied a lot since then and although I haven't gotten rich (raising a family of 4 and all) I have paid my bills and kept a good bankroll going. I really wish I would have found poker in like 01 or 02 cause who knows what might have been lol.

I started playing at 16, now I'm 28.

Started researching on how to be a (semi) pro this past summer. So I learned a lot more in this past 6 or 7 months.
