How weak is this?

It never ceases to amaze me how bad poker can be played. This hand went down this morning at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond IN. I wasn't involved but I made note of how startlingly bad it was.

A player in early position open raises to $10 the guy to his immediate left calls and a middle position player tanks for a minute and makes it $43. It folds around and the original raiser who calls and the cold caller folds. So far so good right?

Flop is TA3r. The first guy checks and the second guy bets $5 into a $99 pot! Huh? The first guy thinks for a few seconds and folds. The second guy triumphantly shows pocket Tens for a flopped set. The first guy says "Yeah, that's what I thought you had."

Guy 2 then tips the dealer $5 which was the same as his bet.

I walked away from this table up $700 in 3 hours.

I never understood what the purpose of the min. bet is. I use it ONLY when I am OOP and I know my opponet missed their draws so it forces them to raise me or get humiliated in folding. Though they can't call because they have high cards only. Besides that I would never bet top set on that weak of a board. I'd called that bet with a runner runner straight especially a gutshot.

I had a great time when I was in Hammond they have a legendary Buffet.

Im doing a project in Chicago. I'll be living out of a suitcase until mid may. Not much to do so i plan to play alot of poker. Id be happy to meet up with both of you. Ive been a member of cardschat for 13 years and never met another member.

Its worse when you flop top set and get called all in with middle pair and backdoor to a flush, and the donkey gets there on the flush, smh sometimes

It looks an awful lot like collusion. I would definitely paid close attention when those 2 players were in another pot together. If isn’t collusion then it is absolutely the worst played flop ever.

It's the latter. I played with these guys for several hours. Neither of them knew enough about the game to be involved in any kind of collusion. They will both god-awful.
