I've seen this happen before. Well, considering the fact that the other 2 players were raising already before the flop, they might have had the overpair. You already know how often players get dealt pockets at the same time. So, now the flop comes AKQ...hmmm...if there was a chance for an overpair (based on pre-flop betting), I think I would have folded, assuming that the other player caught a set as well...hard to lay down the trips, I know...it's easy to get excited when you see trips...plus there was a straight draw too and lots of people love to play 10/J.... hope you have better luck next time...that was a nice pot...

Big cooler. Besides de fact it was AA vs KK vs QQ, all of you flopped a set, how sick is that.

I basically had the same thing happen at $2/$4 on stars. Sitting with about $800, was up against AA and J10s. J10 took it down. It hurt!!!

it always hurts..., had KK, up against AA and JJ, flopped a set and AA made a set on the turn..., JJ rivered the straight...

Well, odds of getting dealt queens is: 4/52 x 3/51 = 12/2652 = 1/221

Then the chance of the next guy having kings is 4/50 x 3/49 = 12/2450 = 1/204

THEN, the next guy having aces = 4/48 x 3/47 = 12/2256 = 1/188

So the chance of 3 particular players getting AA/KK/QQ in the same hand is 1/221 x 1/204 x 1/188 = 1/8,475,792. Pretty sure that would only be accurate if it was only a 3 handed game, but whatever.

Then the chance of the flop coming AKQ = 2/46 x 2/45 x 2/44 = 8/91,080 = 1/11,385

1/8,475,792 x 1/11,385 = 1/96,496,891,920

I have seen AA vs. AA vs. KK, and the kings hit a set.

I've seen set vs. set on the flop, but never have I seen set vs. set vs. set.

I think it depends on how well u know the other players and the way they play. Tough to lay down, but I wouldnt go with rigged thing again, anyways good luck at the tables.

what about this

First hand of the tourney i get pocket QQ i raise to 255 on the 20/40 blinds, i get 2 callers the flop comes 10, 8, 5 rainbow i bet 560. The all ins insue and i find out im up against 4, 8 and 10, 9. The turn is another 8 and the river is a 5. W*T*F total bull and this happens constantly online. How can you play good, have fun, build a bankroll, anything relatively close to what online is suppose to be about this is total bull happens way to much. People say online isnt rigged but it sure is right.

(Preface: I'm a live game dealer)

You'll see it happen live just as often as you'll see it happen online.

While I've never specifically dealt a set-over-set-over-set hand, I've dealt some of the other "ZOMGZ rigged!" hands like straight flush over straight flush and straight flush over quads. It happens.

As for folding QQ in this spot... LOL.

The only other way you could have played it was fold on first raise since you didn't do that and had trips on the flop you were in and committed. Odds were very low that everyone had pp's! Unfortunately it happens just not that often.
