Hey, my name is Bobby I'm 25 years old and recently moved to a new province with my girlfriend. I've been playing NLHE at the 1-2 & 1-3 stakes for over 3 years.

I won $1k in Halifax which helped fund our move to Windsor Ontario. I can't get ahead enough working as a bartender to develop a bank roll to play poker.

I've played 5 sessions here in Windsor where 3 were winning sessions.

How to I prove my live ability in order to get staking?

Thanks

P.s this is my first post in any forum.

Thanks,

Bobby

For live cash game staking, you almost always have to have a history with your potential backers. People you've played against or people that have seen you play. When staking a live cash game player, a backer will want to know when you are playing, where you're playing, what stakes, your buy-in, your stop loss, etc. so that they can corroborate your play (either personally or by an agent)

For live tournament play it's a bit easier to get backing as you'll have a publicly reported tournament history (Hendon Mob database) to use and backers will demand scans of tournament entry tickets & payout sheets which they can verify thru public reporting.
