How often do you cash out? Do you cashout a certain percent of your bankroll? Enough to force you to move down a level? Thanks

If you want to move up a level, it would be foolish to cash out enough to force you down. I have found I am only comfortable when I am at my current level. If my BR increases so that I can move up I am antsy, do not play the same, therefore tend to lose. So I cash out when I am $500 over my initial investment and then start all over again. I know it doesn't make sense, but being comfortable and making money does.

I would suggest that you withdraw $100 everytime you win $200.

For example:

Say you start with $100.
When you reach $300, withdraw $100.
When you reach $400, withdraw another $100.
When you reach $500, withdraw another $100, and so on.

So far the only place I ever cashed out at was Party, when they stopped letting US players play. My goal is to get my accounts on FT, UB and Stars to $1000 and then play the Sunday Million or whatever passes for their largest tournament on the site and see what happens.

I'm not in it to grind, I do poker more for enjoyment. I am sure I would do a lot better if I paid attention, I'm usually surfing the net, playing music, playing an online game and checking email on my 2nd computer while I'm playing poker.

Wonder if ADHD drugs would be effective? :D

well as you can see it my latest post "only 6 days"...i cashed out about 1/3 of my br the first time, then did well in a mtt and sng which brought me back up to where i was before i withdrew and today i withdrew again, mainly i feel like i can grind at the limits were my BR is when i cash out, to get back to were i can cash out again, like a continuous paycheck, but not large pay checks :)

I've just withdrawn a few times to pay for something or other, no real plan although it seems to be a good idea.

I am lucky to not really need the money so I can just move up in stakes.

Although I am withdrawing a whole whack of my BR to pay for the holiday I am currently on. ;)

I usually just withdraw when I cash big in a tournament, now I'm playing cash games and want my bankroll to get bigger so I can play higher stakes so I'm not cashing out at all.

I'm still on my original deposit, and haven't cashed out yet. But, after some serious swings, I'm now slowly climbing up again. I hope to make enough to move up a few levels, then start cashing semi-regular.

sound advice. have something to show for all your effort.
I plan to cash out in 10 years time when i actually win a session............
