How not to build a bankroll
After doubling my bankroll in April and May, I went on a complete slide losing almost all my winnings in June. I wimped out and stopped playing cash games and played freerolls
instead. Although I made a couple of final tables in July, I realized that I blew a lot of time playing FR's and my profit per hour is greatly reduced. So I went back to playing cash games in July and now I am only 10% down from my peak. I think if I just stuck to playing correctly and not worried about the cash part I would have done a lot better and probably could have doubled my bankroll at its peak by now. I looked back and discovered that I was playing my hands better when I was losing than when I was winning. Having the ability to hang in there when you are losing is a real asset if you can pull it off. I hope that I can make it through my next losing streak this way.
