How much your mood influence the way you play?

I have tried to discipline myself to not to play real money poker when I'm angry, sad or very tired, especially in games like spin and go and Zoom.

My experience is that I end up taking many wrong decisions, and sometimes losing in minutes money that I spent hours and hours to win in tournaments.

Do you think your mood changes the way you play?

Of course it does(stupid calls, bets playing out of position with trash cards...). I lost bunch of money playing poker when i am in bad mood(sad, angry, ill, down or tired).
So i avoid playing while i am in bad mood. Just turn PC off and take rest.
Best way to save your BR.
Cheers!

Yes. mood can effect your play immensely. With anger being at the top. Poker is about who makes the less mistakes. When your mad you just can't think clearly.

I try and stay positive when I'm playing online which usually helps, however after so many ridiculous beats I tilt hard and start playing very bad. So yes mood is always going to affect the way you play.

The mood is one of the most important moments in the game,if you start to get nervous and lose control over their emotions and actions, leading to significant losses,I advise you to play the games that you prefer,if you are nervous, then take a look at the forum there are threads which describes how to solve this problem

Alsolutely, bad moods or distractions lead you to make poor choices in my experience. I do play for fun and not a living, so I'm usually in a positive mindset before playing. If you are having a bad day, it needs to end before you hit the tables. Just my opinion.

It can change your game dramatically especially if you do not recognize it until after you tilt spew some money into the poker economy.

For me it's the environment around me that dictates the way I play, but then again my environment does affect my mood. So yea...

Emotional worse than miltitasking

No way! I know better than to play when I cannot devote 100% to the game and any distraction that's emotional seems way worse than the way multitasking effects my game. I also avoid drinking more than a six pack or taking two shots when playing around 5-6 hours, more than that and I want to play every hand!

Do you think your mood changes the way you play?

I believe its on the most crucial fundamentals of the game. Much like life in general, the attitude we have determines the type of day we have.

Think it is way more than people realize. Have a lot of reason not to play during a work week on buyins that can last 5 plus hours to not even jump. Playing freerolls can be a huge waste of time playing when you loose focus couple hours in.

Rather play when I'm feeling at least rested and not with lot of negative or stressful thoughts on my mind. Played a short series this summer and wish I would sit out a few of those games.

Yes I do i find it hurts my play if i get in a bad mood, ill try to take out the player that made me mad and wind up with nothing. In live games i have seen many go down when they get mad at a player, dealer or come to the game that way..

If i am upset in the slightest i will play terrible, I need to rediscover the discipline i once had. i find myself becoming a maniac when i get sick of bad beats, I start playing bad hands i wouldn't play normally. So to answer you question, mood plays a major role in poker performance for me and a lot of people.

Of course your mood makes a difference! If I get tilted while playing I'll immediately get up and go take a little breather, use the restroom, get some water, etc. Something to clear my mind and remind myself that I'm a good player

The mood of the person influences not only his game in poker, and influences in general his behavior even off side. Therefore it is necessary for me it seems to pay attention not to mood, but those conditions which create the mood corresponding for a game in poker. Possibly it is the day off, the absence around other people or the noisy companies, time of day preceding a game of an event and many other things. Create the mood and win. Good luck.

My mood influence the way I play very much . When I'm sad or annoyed/irritated , the only thing for sure is I'm gonna lose , so I stop playing . In the past I kept playing so I ended in playing more loose , more trash hands , bad decisions in bad positions , losing money in zoom , finally tilt . Now , when my mood is not good I prefer playing play money , more relax , without the risk of losing anything , so I enjoy as much as I can .

If I am in any way stressed I skip the poker table experience because I find quite a lot of people annoying with their habits to start with,so a little aggravation and its just going to have me playing dumb.

mood when playing.

I think the way you feel definatley affects your play. I don't play if I feel sick or am tired. I rush my calls and my bets when I do.

If you are full of strength also the ideas, then there will be a good game. If was tired and with something it is puzzled, then it will distract you, there will be a loss. Many times I without mood and forces pursued good luck that the pier will carry that day today, but as a result - failure.
