Hello friends, today returning from my job. It occurred to me to ask them this question. I know that in the forum there are many people who are already professionals in poker. But others, like me, work daily in other areas.

I thought of this, because in the week I will not be able to play the club freerolls because I have a lot of work. I'm only going to play on the weekends, and some sng at night maybe.

How much money in your poker account would you stop working to dedicate yourself to this beautiful sport?

Thanks for reading and taking the time to respond. I see them on the tables.

:deal:

I think it should be a big amount of money although it is easy to understand how much you need the money so not to work to calculate how much you spend per month and multiply by number of months as you want or thinks to live and work is the amount

I would need at least a year's take home pay in the bank for expenses PLUS an appropriate sized bankroll for whatever stakes I'm playing. I'm guessing about 100 buyins.

Well, so as not to work I need a decent amount somewhere in the 20-30 thousand dollars so that it hurts on purchases and housing and there will be norms well, it's only for 2-3 years to save in our country

Million dollars is enough. Then time to stop feeling all tensed up and enjoy life.
You know what I'm saying ;)

But how much would you need to win 'online' before you could believe it's 'not rigged'? (you know what I'm sayin'?)

For me it wouldn't take any amount of money for me to quit working at other sources of income & dedicate myself solely to poker. Reasons.. a) I suck at poker (or at least I'm not that good) b) I want to keep poker 'fun' and for me that means keeping it as a recreational hobby

I know 100% that one million is enough)))) if to answer this question seriously, I will work or not, rather it depends on my game as a whole, not on one result !!

I think, it depends a lot on your monthly expenses, your liabilities and the lifestyle you want to live. I also wouldn't keep all my winnings from poker on my poker account. I would reinvest also in other areas, like properties or so, to gain some passive income. I guess, you would need at least an amount of 600K to generate income by itself. But all depending on your circumstances.

It depends on each one. If you live with parents and have paid bills, you do not need that much money. If you live alone or support a family, you will need a much larger amount. And your bankroll, is it capable of sustaining variance in dark periods? Will not you have to tinker with your reservations? These are questions that only yourself can answer.

300 grand and the right investments would probably be enough to give yourself a decent income even if you have a really bad run of poker. You can always live on Kraft dinner for awhile.

how much money

I think when you can start constantly bring in $5000 to $10000 a month and sustain and still build your bankroll you can quit your job

I believe for you to live poker should have 30k or more in your account, but if fose to be in a comfortable position to play without being worried, I would say a 5k, provided you observe the logic of the entries, because if you start to Over 100us, this money runs out quickly if you do not take care of yourself. Then this question needs to be analyzed first of what you have as a comfortable situation, whether in the game or in your way of life.

If I won every month no less than 1000 dollars, I would quit my job

Guys, thanks for responding! I read each answer carefully, but to make it clear. I'm not talking about my particular situation. I speak of you, I ask you, how much you would leave your work.

IMO when you start making it into a living
there is a goal that you have to meet and in
order to be more sucsessfull... working an
actual job there is a garuntee so i think that will reduce the fun
and make you play differently

I receive the salary of $300-400 so if I win $1000 or more, 2-3 times, then it is possible to try to live earnings in poker. It personally for me. And in general, the more we earn, the more we spend.

Average salary in Russia regions $ 400-600 per month

When the game gives $ 600 per month, or $ 20 per day - you can not work.

I remember I did not work a month, so I played poker. Freeroll in a league of beginners - not for money, for the sake of the prize and pleasure.
