How much money per hour on average do you think you make per limit?

I couldn't find any information on this, I'm just interested in knowing (if possible) if there is any kind of "average" amount of money someone makes per hour if they are a winning player for each stake.

I would think somewhere there is some kind of statistics on this.. A few players I randomly searched for $1/$2 had an average of 3BB/100, so that being said, that is around $3-$5 per hour, per table in profit?

Maybe I'm missing something.. because I also read a post a month back saying you can't make a living off $1/$2 NL, but if you were four tabling, thats $20/hour..

Online there are people making a "living" as low as 50nl. Of course they don't make a very good living but you can make a couple grand/month with rakeback if you're solid/play a lot. I think the part about not making a living at 1/2 is live though. Online you can play a lot more hands/hour so can make a lot more $/hour.

From a little bit of searching people up, I made this to give a good eastimate of how much I think the average may be per hour per table. What do you think?

$0.01/$0.02 NL -- $0.05 / HOUR
$0.02/$0.05 NL -- $0.10 / HOUR
$0.05/$0.10 NL -- $0.20 / HOUR
$0.10/$0.25 NL -- $0.40 / HOUR
$0.25/$0.50 NL -- $0.75 / HOUR
$0.50/$1.00 NL -- $1.50 / HOUR
$1.00/$2.00 NL -- $3.00 / HOUR
$2.00/$4.00 NL -- $6.00 / HOUR
$3.00/$6.00 NL -- $9.00 / HOUR

Seems about right to me?

One thing I've heard about the live play though is that you can actually earn much more because the play is so much worse. So playing in a 5/10 game live might be equivalent to a 0.50/1 game at best, and the terrible players are just looking for action, not to make a huge profit.

It's probably the low end of the grinder results.

These results would be if you had around 2BB/100, so I'd say its about right.

Remember this is PER TABLE.

Top live 1/2 players make about 4-5k a month - playing about 40-60 hours a week.

Top NL200 grinders make in excess of 10k and some even upwards of 20k a month. (Rakeback included).

There's a prop bet right now on 2p2 to make 40k in a month at 200nl FR and I think he's slightly behind pace. Some guy just last month completed a prop bet for 15k in a month at 100nl. Basically those charts are kinda useless because people are better than others. If Phil Ivey played 10nl I'm pretty sure he'd own it but the average 10nl grinder will make less and even within 10nl grinders there are some good and some bad.

That is why I said average.

What charts are you referring to? And who's talking about 10NL?

Anyone making 2BB/100 is a good player. Fact (well as long as its over 100k hands or more). Much more than half of all players lose, because the house takes their 5% cut. 2BB/100 is not great, but its definitely a sign of a person who knows what (s)he is doing.

Not sure what the point of this thread is. Looking at it per hour per table is pointless.

When you are multi-tabling you are more concerned with the number of hands you are playing and your win rate in big bets per 100. Then you look at your hourly rate based on what you are doing per hour based on a large sample size. Then you also factor in additional income via rakeback and bonuses.

I would also say a win rate of 2BB/100 at 2nl to 25nl is low. That number is more for midstakes and up. You are also forgetting to factor in rakeback and other bonuses offered by different sites.

And as other people have mentioned the majority of players are losing players. So the overall average of what people make would be in the negative due to the fact they aren't able to beat the game or beat the rake.

I'm sure I could make more than 2 blinds an hour.

Geez, that must be the average for a super tight player.

I guess I'll post my hourly rates here. I play between 6 and 9 tables.

2NL - $3.33/hour
5NL - $11.54/hour (I ran insanely hot over a very small sample)
10NL - $6.05/hour
25NL - $8.59/hour
