I'm sure I missed much of this in previous threads, and I realize that we will never know, but, does anyone have any idea of about how many US players were booted out of the big poker rooms on Black Friday.

How about the decrease of online players in peak times in PS, FT and UB? The increase of players in rooms like bodog and Carbon?

I can't imagine how many total dollars are being held somewhere? Any many US players are completely sitting out as a result of BF. Increase in players at the casinos?

It seems to me there must be a host of other things affected by BF.

What do "you" think?

Well I'm guessing there's a fairly large decrease in player traffic on fulltiltpoker (maybe errr.. ~100%).
Prior to the shutdown, I believe FTP had lost ~40% of it's customers.

UB? Does anyone even play on there still? (they stopped paying out worldwide a little while ago).

pokerstars still has large amount of traffic on their site. Tournaments don't seem to be affected that much at all (maybe down ~20%.. or less??).

You can check on PokerScout for the exact numbers of all online sites.

I tried to log into Pokerstars.net, and I got a pop-up that says "signiture expired or wrong time settings" . I can't get into the regular Pokerstars website. I'm not really worried about it, but I am wondering a little bit about it.

Won't be too long now, hopefully. Next couple of weeks, after "due diligence".

Well, I really can't comment on the increase of players at Bodog after black friday. But I have had an account at Carbon for quite awhile. And I noticed that the traffic there more than doubled in the first 30 days and probably was still climbing every day till they shut off new accnts for US players cause"they couldn't keep up"

I'm sure people said the same thing about prohibition a.k.a. The 18th Amendment. BTW, it took 13 years for it to be repealed by the 21st Amendemnt. ;)

I just about a month ago started playing on Carbon, and I am U.S. So they are definitely still accepting members...
