That is an amazing board.

I was in a live tournament the other day. I was short stacked and moved all-in. I was surprised when four players at the table proceeded to re-raise and call themselves all in. Here is what we had:

Me: AKos
Player 1: AKos
Player 2: KTos
Player 3: AA
Player 4: 2-2

Now, here is the amazing part. The flop: Q-2-2! The pocket dueces had everyone but pocket aces covered and went on to win the tournament.

So, anytime someone complains that sick beats only happen online, because its "obviously" rigged, I like to tell them this story.

Saw an even better one live. I even posted a thread on here about it somewhere.

Young lad being an absolute ass all night, had warnings etc gets to the final table. Hes UTG. He raises heavily. Everyone folds except the BB who raises him. Young lad calls.

Flop comes over JJ with a rag. BB checks. Young lad smiling his head off calls all in. The old bloke is thinking about it and the young lad tells him to fold because he would feel bad taking all the old blokes chips. The bloke in a fit of temper calls....

They turn over their cards and lo and behold the old bloke has AA. The young lad however has JJ.

The young lad is laughing at the bloke telling him what a fool he was. In fact he was being a complete ****.

Cue the smile being wiped right off his face when the turn and river both come up Aces.

The whole casino erupted and it took at least 10 minutes to calm everyone down. The young lad went on tilt and busted out quickly whilst the old bloke went on to win the tournament much to the delight of everyone watching..

:D :D

WOW!! And I thought I had bad rivers - I think this one tops them all - After one like that I would fold and go home... Go back to my regular job and try to stop thinking about poker :)

I am sure it was on Youtube because I saw a clip of it.

What was even more astounding was it came out in the correct order

with everyone playing billions of hands a day, it is likely these things will turn up, and of course, with youtube, even more likely lots of people will see it and talk about it, as opposed to if you only played cash games in your friend's basement.
to me, its only a great story if it happens to you, or directly affected you in a game.
