Hey Everyone,

Lately I have been getting into playing multiple tables... either cash games or sit-n-goes...

So Far my Best performance is at:

4 Cash Game Table
4 Sit-and-Goes

But I have seen players that play 6, 8, 10, and even 12 tables...

what is the Maximum you can play and still make a profit...
love to see some snap shots...

I too am just starting to see a profit multitabling STTs. I don't use additional software, but try to see where the bets are coming from, and notice if someone is overly aggressive.

I find 4 stacked tables fairly profitable and not too hectic. I've been pushing it to 6 lately, trying for a FPP bonus, but have found that at least once per session I am timing out on other tables when faced with a tough decision.

Also find that if I'm down to 3 bubbles at once I suffer from not seeing as many showdowns. Maybe I should move to tiled tables at this point, but my monitor is pretty small.

Look forward to hearing about some wild 20-table sessions on this thread!!

I can 24 table and have before but its not nearly as profitable for me as it is when I 9 or 12 table. I tend to spew a lot when I get past 12. Ive never 24 tabled PLO but cant imagine myself doing it.

Is the play with this amount of tables just being rock tight?

I've played up to 6 Rush tables which turns out to be like 1200 hands an hour. I guess that would be about 16-18 reg tables. I don't enjoy it but with rakeback it has been marginally profitable.

No more than 4.. since my laptop screen wouldn't fit anymore on there that well. I usually don't do more than 2 tournies at a time.

But I have seen players that play 6, 8, 10, and even 12 tables...

Leatherass is known to do 24 at a time.

If it is small and you have a hud, just stack tables and that helps. I have a 15 inch laptop and that always works for me.

What stakes you play? I would only suggest it if

1) the stakes you play are meaningful

2) you are playing micro stakes but want to start multitabling more and playing more tables.

Been playing micro-low stakes tournies on full tilt lately... but I had thought about getting the HUD because I'm going to start the micro cash games over at pokerstars, and try to actually do something with what I have over there instead of just dickin' around.

The most I will play is 4 tables at a time, that includes ring games or sngs. If I'm playing mtts on different sites then it's only 3 tables. I'm not ready BR wise to play a larger volume, only play what I can afford. Maybe in a few months I will try to play more.

16 stacked. It's actually pretty amazing how often I'm just sitting there waiting for something to happen. Less than 12 I get bored and start playing too many hands.

23 or 24 tables - Ten seated Double Up or Nothing on PS - but the buy in was only $5

The fun comes here...
...on my 10 inch eee PC :D

But if talking about serious play. I do no more than three tables at a time. Even when playing stud it's only two.

My max was only ever 22 tables and it was profitable, but I saw some beats like I couldn't believe toward the end. Set over set constantly, backdoor flushes :/.

For SNG's I need to wait 30 minutes into one before I open up another, so that I can concentrate on stealing blinds. Not justplaying to make the money.

I just started playing NL Hold Em online. I attempted to play 2 tables at once and discovered my concentration wanes overall. If I play one table at a time, I am able to focus and play better. Am I in the minority here? Does anyone play just one table at a time to get a solid read on the rest of the players?

But now that I came across this thread, I don't understand how can you possibly play 4+ tables on your screen and be profitable. May someone explain to me how you can do this? Is it your command in knowledge of the game or some other factor?

In my case it was profitable because I was able to deal with bad beats better and have a pretty decent understanding of how players generally play at 2NL. I never tilted after a bad beat because I always had a strong hand at a table, so I was always in the action and didn't have to force the game.

You stick to ABC poker/premium hands and select tables where other players do the same, so you're able to take down pots with C-bets on rainbow boards with no backlash from others as they are (generally speaking) too timid. The same applies when you are value betting out of position onto a rainbow board because players have no interest in calling your bluff when they've missed even if they have an inkling that you're full of it, it's too risky.

This allows you to play on auto pilot so-to-speak. The key when doing this is table selection and avoiding certain types of players like those who enjoy check raising, thus making it more difficult to play your AA causing you to worry that you've run into a set/semi-bluff . The idea is (no matter what limit your playing) to play against bad players and avoid the regulars who play back at you.

When I stick to single tabling I'm able to get reads on my opponents as you are and exploit them, but after awhile it becomes monotonous knowing I'm putting all this time and energy into only winning a few cents/dollars at a time. Whenever a bad beat occurs it's a lot more stressful and I'm more prone to start spewing chips into the pot chasing my losses. Also, even when you sense weakness in you're opponent and make a great bluff, these guys don't like to fold their TPTK because they've waited so long for it and they justify calling by saying "it's only $1" he's gotta be bluffing. It's pointless and it tilts me. Multi tabling solves this problem because I don't feel the need to bluff anymore.
