I only play one table at a time as its much easier for me to concentrate on everything thats going on !
Seems most people thow are leaving me behind:( and playin 4 at a time !

Please just leave a comment how many tables you play at a time so I know how many people play, on average and to see if I need to practice at it and not get left behind:confused:

Thanx in advance for replies :)

I rarely play just 1 ring table due to the fact you're more likely to come out with a winning session in less time with more tables running. Increased win rate imo. Most of the time I just won't play if I can't find more than 1 table to sit down at. 2 to 3 tables is probably a good average, but sometimes I do 5 comfortably.

I generally play 2-6 tables...depends on what all else I'm doing...If I'm watching tv or surfing the net, I'll stick to the low end of that....If poker has my full attention, I'll be at the high end.

I also don't thing you'll be "left behind" if you stick to less tables. Play within your comfort level and bankroll and you'll be fine.

LOL>.... Funny you mentioned it this.. I just posted a thread on something similar... NEways last night I played ten tables at once and WTF it was crazy tables popping up every sec... I was just experimenting and from the looks of things I don't think I'll be playing no more than 4 tables at once at the most....

:joyman:  in tournament play(includeing freerolls) I will be in up to 3 to 4 games on different sites at the same time,in ring games useally just 2 tables...rarely a third table, same goes for sit n go games.:joyman: .....stay in your comfort zone tho...takes time, practice (and a scitzophrenic mind  )to build up to playing more than a few at the same time and do well consistently.;)

I like four because they fit nicely on my monitor and are enough to keep me interested, but not so many that I get overwhelmed.

I like 16 at 6-max cash -- that's about my comfort zone if my mouse isn't giving me lagging problems (which it has been recently). I've done 24 tables several times -- it's not that bad.

I've played cash games since Feb. 09, so that's about 8 months now. I pretty much started multi-tabling right away (after watching videos on CC of other members) and wanting to emulate them. But I play differently from most people and most people tell me I'm wrong for doing so, but that's OK, I like finding my own methods. It works for me, maybe not in the most ideal win rates and improvement, but the most fun and ability to keep my interest. I've always made money, and I'm not worried about how fast I move up.

What I do is stack the tables directly on top of each other at full size on my laptop. I definitely cannot handle tiling tables, at least more than about 4. I like the stacking arrangement because I don't have to move the mouse much at all on my turn, the tables pop up automatically when I need to act, and I can focus my vision in one place. The other advantage is that once you have acted, you don't have to worry about anything else with that table unless it comes back around and you need to act again. In other words, if you raise, and everyone folds, you don't need to know about it (you will know about it as soon as you see your new cards). And if you fold, you're done with that table -- you never have to see it again. And one of my favorite aspects of it is that it keeps you off tilt. Say you make a good bet, and a poor player makes a terrible call but sucks out on you. That can be irritating and can ruin your mood for other tables. With stacking, you never have to know about it until after the session is over, which by that time, it's not that big a deal.

I use Table Ninja to automate betting and for handling the buy-ins and such. And I use Hold'em Manager as my HUD, so I can follow my opponent's stats while playing, and look at any particular hands that need extra analysis. Everything else you can review after the session -- see if you played correctly, if you got sucked out on, if you put any bad beats on anyone (embarrassing). It's easy to get in over 1,000 hands in an hour, which helps you build a database to analyze your play much faster than it would normally take. People tell me all sorts of reasons why I'm stupid to play this way, but it's my own method, and I enjoy it. That's what counts in my book.

Sorry for the long answer, but I'm always trying to justify my methods. I don't know why I bother -- probably because I think other people could benefit from it, too.:)

I 6 table 6max and 9 table full ring.

Velutha's right - don't increase the number of tables you play unless you have a specific reason to. Most peoples' winrate decreases the more tables you play.

I play anywhere between 1 and 5 tables so far depending on how much of my attention I want to commit to poker. If I'm talking to people and watching a movie I'm more likely to just have 1 or 2 open.

If I play more then 8 I'm in auto pilot mode and I tend to lose. I just can't compute that many hands that fast to make that many good decisions. It probably takes practice like anything to play 16+ tables.

I usually only play 2 tables at a time. No matter what kind of game im playing. I myself find it very hard to play more than 2 tables at once. I feel mysel that im losing concentration if i play more than 2. That is why i only play 2.
