Just wondering how long some people think they might last. If, they took just $1000 up to $25/$50 tables?
Technique would be rampaging-Done it before on FTP minimum $45 deposit and turned it into $1500 in on night. I don't have the link for rampaging thread or I would post it, but I can copy and paste the idea of it if anyone wants it.
Think I'm going to try 1G on Stars. I'm guessing it's going to be a 5 to 10 minute sit down. With rampaging you either move up or down depending on your outcome of winning or losing.

Please define rampaging. It is not in my official dictionary of poker, and I have not read that term here.

google is your friend.

FellKnight: Rampaging - How to build a bankroll quickly

by the way that is fellknight's poker blog which by the way if you dont know is very very very good player.

its basically the same thing as original posters idea but fellnight does it opposite and starts low limits and works up while poster starts high limits and moves either up or down. I might try this and tape it.

Yeah fellknight, was the one. Very, very good player indeed. Like I was saying before I tried the 45. min. deposit and made it to a little over 1500.
in one night. Just thought about trying at a higher level, but I don't know where I would stop.

By the way storm, a little advice. When you do try the strategy, make sure when you double up and supposed to leave...you do leave. Otherwise, big chance that you will lose it back to the original owner. Especially, if they're sitting with a really big stack.

this is the defintion of gambling pretty much, if you start doing this and become succesful in your first few attempts you will think it's the bee knee's and start to throw up larger amounts of money until you come to a point where you find yourself a large chunck of your change down, I'm not being the bearer of bad news or anything but i know from experience that with most things in life the quick fix usually isn't the best for you in the long run, but a controlled version of this could be profitable and is more fun then grinding or SnG's for hours on end.

Actually, if played right, $50 can be enough at a $200 max table, at least ilve, I don't know about onlne with all the maniacs.

Maybe I'll try this out after I have an EXTRA $5 to spare.

If you start out with a "small deposit" on most poker sites it's going to be gambling. Because there are so many people that will call with crap at the smaller tables its rediculous. However, this is means to build a bankroll quickly, make a goal. Then progress to better play.

you missed the whole points of it, the point isnt to continue to do it. The point is to start with $5 and get to a point and stop.

Like the blog says you want to make 1k to play .25/.50 NL you do this to get to that point then stop. Why would you continue to do it if you reached your goal? If you have that little self control you should not be playing to begin with.

I issue a challenge then lets do it at same time, not same table at least and see who gets there 1st or who get the closest 1st?

before anyone talks down about this realize you are risking $5 here of a initial investment. Sure if you get to $200 and lose it you lost in reality $200 but only $5 was your initial investment.

this is actually a really really cool idea props to fellknight or whoever thought up this little thing.

Yeah, i didn't mean to come of harsh or anything it's just thats how you get yourself into trouble looking for a quick way, sure it's innocent $5 at first but if your succesful you start thinking well what about $10 i could get double and as such, ill never do that as my late father had a big gambling problem and i remember he also started little so don't mind me ragging i think its a sweet idea for a person with minimum bankroll who likes to roll the dice :).

Why not keep part of what you've won? Since you've worked it to $1.5K, put 1 grand aside as backup, rampage with the extra $500?? take it up to $1000NL and play some short stack.

I've been thinking of this for the longest time. Read about it a while back. Maybe I'll take a percentage of my BR once I hit the $50NL level and try it, just for once.

You have to Gambool to win!!

well it would be $10 because soon as you move your stack from $5 to $10 you move up, its a high variance thing that is the point of it. You are not trying to play this way as a style you are hitting and running every table you play.

this thing here is totally goal set, you are trying to make a certain amount and like I said in above post we are hitting and running. We dont want to sit with the guy we just beat and give him chance to come after us and take it back, we are hitting a certain goal at every table and then getting the hell out of there.

Wasn't there already a challenge just like this (something about racing with joose to see who can make the most out of $50)?

this is different though because of the set rules of playing each level with certain amount.

like with $50 you could just buy into 1/2 this you cant.
