Imagine a player starting from scratch and doesn't know how to play the game. How long would it take for this person to beat 200nl online over the long run, using only free resources found online.

If I understand you correctly, I think it is dependent on its ability to Bank roll
Learn to play properly a lot of time is required.

Unless it is possible? I think that it depends on that what the beginner sets before himself the purposes beginning to play poker and of course from the sum of money which the player is ready to spend for a game.

Hehe...

I had something clever to say here and nixxed it. But yeah, why don't you just say, "hey, I'm basically starting from scratch, and I only want to use free products and info. How long would it take to start beating 200nl?"

Any ways... there's no answer. I know people who have been playing for years and still can't beat 200nl.

Depends on how focused they are on getting better every day. If an average person put in an above average effort they should be able to get there in a year or so but the time and effort required makes this a big mountain to climb for most players, including myself.

I can speak for myself. I started this year playing freel roll and by the middle of the year I had made $ 150 in freeroll tournaments. This year, I already earned 400 dollars and only invested 30 dollars. I think I'm okay, just to bring this game to fun.
