Hi,

I previously hosted a live charity tourney a few years ago for a LA based charity. I am wanting to host another charity tourney to help support US military veterans charities. I have served myself for 20 years. questions are:

1. How likely are you to play in an online charity tourney?
2. Which US military Veterans charity would you support?
3. Which cardroom would you feels most comfortable playing on?

thanks for the input

I am not sure you would be able to get a charity tourney online. This is something you would have to look into, but I have to say the chances are slim...basically because the site would have to agree to give some of its rake back to you, which may never happen, unless you are a VIP or the head of a nationally recognized charity. You would be better off having a freeplay tourney online at say pokerstars and have someone hold the money personally.

I would do it, if the rake wasnt too high. The best sites to play on will ALWAYS be poker stars or 888.

You are better off hosting a live game rather than online...just my opinion.

And very difficult to create a charity tournament on a site without you find a site partner you want, but well spoken and a good partner and if the cause is strong think the possibility to do so, but may be restricted only for some countries, preferably only their parents.

Thanks for the insight. Seems like it might be a tough going to make it happen. Will look into it. Probably end up doing a live one

First I would liken to thank you for your service. I would play in an online charity game to benefit military vets even if I was not going to win a thing. I would support any military charity but would lean more to support wounded vets. I play on Bet Online and Americas Cardroom.:D
