I have always been a stubborn person/player, and when i sit down to play, i stay and play my A game ( win or lose ) i do not let the outcome effect me anymore like i used to ( tilt ) but something i have never been able to understand is changing tables.

I hear that if you are running good, stay dont get up, until you take a beat, ext.
But when you are running bad, yet playing a solid game do you still get up, leave? grind it out? ( i grind it out since i know i have a steady solid game )

Opinions? I have always felt its not your seat that matters, it is how you play.

I may be right, or wrong.

thanks guys!

If you can handle it mentally, you should stay !

It matters. The old saying- you look around the table and you don't see any fish, your the fish. You need an absolute minimum of one fish and preferably more. Even if there is one fish the others sharks are going to pick up on that and keep you from isolating him, etc. I can only manage 4 tables at a time. I'll start with one and keep it or leave until I gradually work up to 4 good tables.
Seat selection is really important. Some people prefer the maniacs on there left so they can limp into them. I play tight and prefer them on my right for the reraise.

i see, so sit for a minute, feel the table out, if i can see myself being profitable stay, if not, after about 3 rounds ill leave.

thats my strategy from now on. I can always spot the fishys, but never took it into account on how many i should have at the table.
