I was playing last night at Pokermira(New poker site), after playing many hands for hours i noticed that most of the player are playing in a systematic format.
For example - if any player raise $0.03 and if i raise $0.06 than im 96% sure that they will fold.
-no human element i found
-no chat
-playing in systematic way

I just wanted to know if their is any way to find robot in online poker?
i also send email to pokermira support so i will update you as soon as i get reply.
Im new here so i dont know if this thread can be posted here .

Systematic and non chatting pretty much sounds like most of the winning regs that I see.

Whereas losing players will generally be motormouthing in the chatbox and clicking random buttons for no reason.

Watch the chat carefully. If you see: (Whoop, whoop) Danger, Will Robinson, danger! Change tables! :D

Cheers!

I don't really believe in robots playing in online poker sites. It could be people with their chat function disabled who have a fixed strategy. The same with me, I play pretty standard and chat only distracts me, so I turned it off. My 2 cents.

Winning regs pretty much look like bots when they are playing live as well.

havent, and I stopped trusting new (and many old sites)
as for the bot, unlikely
many people ignore chat, play standard game, even multi table many at once

Regarding that topic I actually don't know since I am a newbie here. I guess it doesn't affect your game at all is just that sometime you get lucky enough and sometimes bad luck follows.

Hi goddyvips007,

To answer your question, there isn't a straight answer. With small poker sites,(usually a site under 1000 or sometimes 500 poker players) they will in fact deploy computer bots in their smaller stakes to show there's traffic. However, with your example that you've provided. There isn't enough info to determine if this is the case. To identify if this site is reliable, I suggest checking their website to see what their gaming license is under and where they're located. I haven't heard of pokermira before, however when researching their license, if looks like they're under 1668/JAZ and issued to Curacao eGaming. Curacao eGaming is a IS NOT A TRUST WORTHY LICENSE OPERATOR. By looking at which company owns pokermira, it shows to be "WoT N.V., Limesco Limited." Again, not a trust worthy company. Just by checking the host server, you can tell this is a scam.

Little bit about me:
Currently in college, studying for a software engineering ba
Very much integrated in the casino security industry and attending conferences like G2E

I don't believe in robots in online poker. Whats the point then? Poker sites are made for people to play for fun or make money. And if there are robots.. I think its easy to play against them and bluff them..

some players do use bots, but unless if something has changed the past few years, bots generally suck.

I read a article about a guy that took advantage of bots and was able to make around 24k in about a month. He notice a pattern that the bots was playing. He was able to exploit that behavior and beat the bots. The article gave details about how he figured out behavior. It was a nice read.

I don't know if it's still true lack of hesitation before folding to a reraise used to be a tell tale sign. Either that or a 1 tabling nit.

Current poker bots aren't any good anyway except for very specific game-types, so there isn't anything to worry about. That said, I don't really know of any reliable way of telling if you're up against a bot.
