Probably negative, keeps me in the house more and I dont like being interrupted when playing.

Though playing live can allow you interact with other people. Assuming they are not all wearing headphones, I will not play in those games.

Probably negative because it's gambling, but for me only positives because my friends are interested in my game

do you believe poker has positive effects or negative on your social life?

When yo have poker, you do not need a social life. Friends are negative EV, and women are the rake. The f*****g rake. LOL!

Early on online only probably a bit negative as I had little concept of the game, BRM, discipline, or tilt control. These days, mostly positive. There's a lot of commonality between themes in poker and in life and you can often apply what you learn in one to the other.

I do sometimes stay at the card room too long and then I'm groggy the next day. And if I feel myself getting cranky at the table (online or live) due to the action I'll get up for a few minutes.

So these days the biggest negative is being tired after staying at the table a bit too long. But overall I find my poker experiences positive, people socially are interested that I play, my SO supports me 100%, and I have a few friends I can play with or chat poker with sometimes as well. I find it funny that most of the interest in my poker playing comes with people who are fascinated by the concept of poker being played with money and how one manages (esp at live poker where for a lot of non poker players, $200 is a lot) the swings of winning or losing hundreds of dollars in a single hand. And those who play poker don't get how I can go from battling for an $800 pot at 1/2 live to playing as low as 1c/2c online :)

Live poker shouldn't truly affect your social life since you get to socialize with others who have similar interests, but online poker could affect you by not using your time effectively. Depends on the persons mentality also.

If it makes you became more closed, always want to win the money back, become more irritable and have less contact with people then you need to apply for pomoshu to a specialist until it's too late.

Thanks to poker, I started to apply their mathematical and psychological knowledge in real life. That was very helpful in the study of human behavior. And I realized one thing, in poker, people are less predictable than in real life.

We live tournaments there and I play online, so the Internet began to take a lot of time and chat accounts to chat via social sites. Direct communication is always better.

In my particular case I am very affected by the mood, I get very angry and it makes me sad to lose after a good game throughout the tournament and lose it with bad beats. Then I feel like doing no other activity. In case of winning a tournament I am very happy and wanting to do many things haha
