I control tilt a little better most days, but after playing many years I still lose it on a poker table and self destruct. Usually online and live tournaments. playing robotic is a key to being pro. Online is a different game and when I take a scheduled loss it pisses me off and I play higher stakes or more aggressive which works out sometimes. I am improving on fight threw, but it's almost like I enjoy the feeling of losing somedays, all logic stops.

my great problem with emotions is definitely the anxiety, the worst of all. Make me lose every time

I know the feeling, it's hard. I have been learning to control myself better than before and that is finally starting to show a positive impact to my bankroll as well. When it comes to tilt, you are your own worst enemy. It's always a battle between you and yourself, so to speak. What I do is that I just keep telling myself "don't tilt, don't tilt, don't tilt" when I feel my blood pressure rising from a bad beat and if I keep repeating that (out loud or in my head), it actually works. Probably because then I am really focusing on the fact that I am right there at the edge of tilting and I realize that I can still prevent that if I want to. The next step is just to forget, move on and keep playing your A-game. The worst thing you can do is exactly what you and many of us has done: playing higher stakes or starting to play looser. Don't do that :D

Being in the sales business for over 10 years you deal with tons of things that are not within your control. I apply this mentality to poker.
"What can i do to play well?" "Did i make the correct decision?" if i know i made the best choice i do not care about the outcome. Sure losing AA-QQ to complete trash all in pre flop sucks ass; I still bitch about it. But i can not control the luck factor of poker, i know i got my money in good and after that all i can do is pray the math works in my favor.

Now when i play poorly that tilts me more' even if playing bad made me money. A mistake is a mistake luckily in poker we are sometimes rewarded for our mistakes. However i wish it happened more often.

To have good control, you must first control your impulse to try to recover what has lost, this can cause you to break your bankroll, calm down and continue your strategy, you will see that when the game enters the variance, you can get out of it without many losses, good luck

I don't like it possible to completely take your emotions out of the game. Controlling them can be difficult at times but the thing that helps me calm down is just reiterating to my that there's nothing that you can do about what just happened and all you can control is what you do next.

This is probably the thing i struggle with the most. I play conservative for the most part, but when I do bet i hate when people raise my raise. I usually let my emotions take over and raise again, forcing me to bet more than I usually would on a certain hand. I've lost a lot of chips due to these emotions, but I have gotten better. I usually try to listen to music, or surf the internet while I play to keep my mind busy.

I wear the hoodie backwards, this way I don't need the shades & it improves my results.

I remind myself I am a recreational player & never play with money I can't afford to lose. This allows me to enjoy both the ups & the suckouts, or at least makes it easy to keep them in perspective. Tis just a game & one is gambling after all.

I listen to very chill music with great quality headphones. Very zen stuff to keep me at peace (the kind of music you listen to for meditation). I hate getting on tilt and then blowing my bankroll. :/

Simulation

I was you for like 2 years. Playing higher stakes when I loose and not understanding my emotions that are driving my style of play. Robotic is key, it's like acting for a video game simulation.

Train your imagination and think about the losses before they occur, then your emotions will be okay:круто:

To overcome the tilt, you need a trained and positive mind, maybe some of the above tips will help calm you down, but in the next bad beat you might explode. I recommend you read more strategy books

I used to have a lot of anger before, if I lost on small bets I started playing big ones and I also lost, but after I started losing a lot I just picked myself up and calmed down and realized that this was just an online game, now I'm playing calmly and When the nerves start I just turn on the music and calm down, and when I win the mood is super, the main tranquility

I think you have to adjust your attitude. It is something you can work on, control and improve. The first part of controlling it, is to recognize when a 'tilt moment' is approaching. Then you can take action.

In a live game, go the toilet, wash your hands, take 5 minutes away from the game. Stretch your legs, go outside and take in some fresh air.

Understand that poker is a long haul. In the short term all kinds of crazy stuff happens. Idiots and bad players win, you get outdrawn by sick bad luck etc etc. But in the long run, any advantages you give yourself, will return results. Playing tighter out of position, not tilting, playing your A-game more often etc etc etc
