Wait... why cant you see the screen if its split into 4?

Even on my ghetto 19' I could easily do 4, thats hugeeeee. I mean, I only used like 75% of the screen too, I had thrown a chip at it and cracked the whole bottom right corner.

On my new 24' monitor 4 tables would be monstrous. Are you on a laptop or something? I can easily fit 12 tables on the 24' but id imagine if you are playing on a 14' or 15' screen it would be challenging.

Ok that sucks then, I dunno that would be very brutal for me. I would recommend getting a 19'+ and using that as opposed to your laptop screen.

Once you have the room to see and play, it becomes alot easier to learn to multitable.

Have you tried cascading (having the tables overlap) rather than tiling?

^^^^^this here^^^^^

Not really much you can do there pattyr with a 15', try what OZ posted and maybe look into getting a bigger monitor, my nephew uses his laptop on a secondary monitor to play also, so I know I works.

I cascade 8 tables (I've done up to 12) easily on my laptop. It takes some getting used to but just start with a few tables and build your way up.

multitabling

Sometimes also if on multiple sites and the don't always pop up on your turn like bodog for instance . Also when I play five or more tables I miss some chances to steal blinds or from players who are sitting out. miss a alot of position bets because to busy play multiple tables it takes skill to go above 6 tables I think.

i change my screen resolution to atleast 1152 by 864. right click the desktop/properties/settings then change the resolution to something higher. that way 4 screens wont over lap.

On a laptop you should always cascade.

On my desktop, I tile on my 24'' monitor, though. With overlap. Typically, to play 8 tables, i open 6 of them and ask FT to tile them in two rows of 3, i leave the left and right ones in place but move the middle ones without resizing them to create 2 lines of 4 tables. With prefered seat at the center bottom, i can still see all my pocket cards and the flops that way.

EDIT: And i use http://www.overcards.com/wiki/moin/FullTiltPlanner to remember that layout.

You are not alone Patty.
I can only play 2 overlapping windows on a 17inch (old fashioned big CRT) monitor, or 3 in a top left, top right, middle bottom formation.
It is still not very satisfactory though and you end up going round in circles constantly bringing each one to the top to check progress. Then you get messed up by being moved table and the new table opens in a different position. Finally if you have preregistered for another tournament it adds to the confusion when it opens up.
On a 19 inch at 1600x1200 I could comfortably play 4 windows, although it still took concentration.
With 3 games on one PC and 4 games on the other, with a mouse in each hand, all bets are made with the sliders and guess what, it doesn't take long to lose the lot.

I'm not sure of the problem...I have played since 2002 online. Until I got my new 17' laptop, I always was able to comfortably 4 table on any site with resizable tables on my 14' Dell. I could go with small tables with zero overlap and had no problem seeing them.

Maybe try new glasses as first option :)

Multi tables mmm

Hey Patty, If I play 4 on FT on my laptop first I click tile tables, then 1 at

a time I choose set default setting for each and u get a nice big table in

each corner of the screen if you cant see the bottom half of the lower

tables click set default again and that realigns them perfectly. No chance

of misclick then gl.

How do you tile table on Full Tilt.
Can't find an option to do that anywhere in the menus.

OK. figured out how to tile the tables but they're too small for practicality on my 17" monitor.
Not sure what you mean by set default setting.
The only option I can see close to that is Back To Default Size which doesn't help.

8-tables scattered of NL25-NL50. whenever i see a table pop up i just instantly understand what play must have taken place for it to get to where it is. just takes time.

I don;t know how people handle 12 - 16 tables, I am sure it will come with more skill and practice, but I have managed to comfortably do 8 (on 21" monitor, 3 down each side really small, then 2 bigger in the middle to fill up the space. Could get 9 on there, but I find 8 keeps me more than busy enough.

I have seen videos of people that have them all stacked in 2 stacks and they just keep popping to the top. I tried this last night and did horrible at it. Could not keep track of who were the donks on what tables, and ended up just playing my cards and not really being aware of what was happening on the tables. Lost a lot of opportunities to call with marginal hands with players that I know call with nothing. Also called with 2 high pair once when their was an obvious straight draw on the board and cost me a bit.

That little experience would have really destroyed my win rate which had been going alright lately, but glad I tried it to see what it was like. Will go back to 6 tiled for the next little while. That is more than enough for me and keeps me very busy. I personally feel I need to see all the table at all times so stacking will not work for me for the time being.

Do you use an HUD fergy? That's the only way to do that many tables at once effectively.

No I don't actually. I need to learn. I tried it a couple of times with the Poker Tracker trial and the numbers didn't mean anything to me, so I found it didn't help and I turned it off. I tried to study up on what they all meant and how to use them, but I was too new to poker and was not able to apply it effectively. Need to give it another shot and see if I can study up and learn how to read them, I am sure it would improve my game a great deal. Maybe that is next weeks study topic!

Yes, this is the way I play, except I just stack them directly on top of each other. Can do 20+ tables at 6-max on an 18-inch laptop. No eye strain and no needless mouse movements and plenty of time to figure out what's going on. Use a HUD, though, to keep track of your opponents.

Like you I tend to stick to 2, 3 max. It is not about seeing the screen it is about being able to concentrate on the games. I find anymor than 2 and I start to struggle.

Back to default, that's the one. Unfortunately that's as good as it gets on a

laptop screen. If you wanna have all tables in plain view all the time with 6+

tables. The only other option is getting a Monster monitor. The set default

tables pushed snug in each corner of the screen helps prevent "misclick

which is all too common Multitabling with popups so give it some time and I

guarantee you will get the hang of it
