What should I do when I am tilt......

Hi Demonn

Just walk away and give poker up for the day. Come back the next day and review what "tilted" you and try to not let it happen again. It will or something else will, but don't worry thats all part of learning the game.......gl :D:D:D

Tilting In Poker

"Tilting" is a term used in poker to describe the way a player changes his or her game due to the effects of suffering a bad beat. If a player takes a bad beat, they can be described as "going on tilt" if they subsequently play differently to the way they would usually play.

In a nutshell, 'tilting' is simply a word to describe poor play due to frustration at the poker table.

There are many things in poker, apart form bad beats, that will potentially set you on tilt. If you do not catch any good hands for a long period of time, you can easily become frustrated and start to play with any rag hand that comes your way.

Tilt

What is the best way to control the tilt? (hard to do)
Ex. you hold QQ on the button, UTG raise 3BB everyone folds and you raise double to UTG and he hollywoodly falt call. Now heads up, flop Ad, Ks, 8h, UTG check, I bet half pot then he goes snap all in, I consume my whole time bank and suddenly I fold. And he shows 2 , 3 clubs, even I dont ask to show his cards, leading me so tilt on the table especially on late tournament blinds are big, you made your massive stack in a descent way then in just in one hand I had been outplayed by the worst hand like that, then he shows his cards just to put you on tilt. And it was very hard to conrol..

Try my best just to shrug them off. However if it was a really big one (big cash game or deep in a big tournament) I find it best to take a small break and get some fresh air

If you tilt then just stop playing for a while.
PS. If when someone outplays you (like stated above) makes you tilt then you should really consider your game. It doesnt matter if he had 2&3 or pocket tens. You can't catch every bluff, its not posibble. It shouldnt affect you that much

just a few suggestions play enough rooms that losing a couple wont drive you insane second short term memory failure MOVE ON just keep trying no one wins them all no matter how good you are

the key is winning more then losing

you are going to get upset especially as you move up but if you play a few at a time losing some hurts less the key is not to be totally on that big one if you play well and smartly the bigger ones will happen in their time sometimes that is a long time though so just know your playing well smart good and doing the right things going over what can change at times to give better chances sooner or later anyone can win imho

When you are on tilt . . . .
You should come and sit at my table, so I can be given some of your chips :)

Or, you can take a break until you calm down, and start making good decisions again. Use whatever you normally use when stressed, like take a walk, have a massage, watch movie, yell and scream at a little kid, tell a joke, etc

I usually yell at the computer. The last time I played Live tornament I had all in preflop pocket A and someone calls me with pocket 6 of course he rivered me 6 with trips I was mad. People was saying goodbye I stormed off without a word. Next time I will be more polite. That was my first and only live tournament I played

If you've played correctly hand, it means in the long run you'll be ahead and it is a profitable decision, this is always calming.

But if you losing player, it will not help you :D

I'm pretty sure the words "you've got to be f#@&ing kidding me" usually escape my mouth, whether playing live or online. If I'm playing live, I might get up, go for a walk, take a puff off my ecig, get some food, play a couple of hands of blackjack...maybe ask the lovely masseuse for a massage when I get back. If I'm online, I'll still do all of those...but ask my lovely SO for the massage instead. ;)

The tilt control is considered one of the most difficult skill to learn for beginners poker players. And not only them. Many experienced players, even professionals constantly have problems for not knowing when to stop, thus losing large amounts of money.

I never tilted when I was just starting out . I now can tilt once in awhile but not to the point of losing too much of my bankroll. ONce in awhile I will go on one of these I don't care sprees and make bad plays and lose a lot but then I don't play the rest of the day or play something different instead to switch it up a bit.

Usually I just leave the table once my orbit is finished (cash game) to take a break.

Recently I was in a pot of about 150 BBs 3 way and preflop raiser hit a backdoor straight over my flopped top set. *facepalm*

Walk away from the PC, go to my training room and beat up my wooden dummy. Any Wing Chun practitioners in here? ;-) Then come back later in the day or the following day with a fresh mindset.

Well if it happens one bad bet what treatment is to relax and keep playing the tournament or hands in the best way because if you get angry do not think about it and jugas inpensables hands to try to recover and if you do that to end up losing end more or sticking eliminated from the tournament. But when I observe that begins the tilt is better to close the game and play another day and if the next day as usual a few days left to play.

Beats

The Bad Beat Giveth and the Bad Beat Taketh away. It is part of the game.

AA Vs 27o is 80/20. It is not a guaranteed winner.

Take a breath and on to the next game or hand.
