I was bubble once, but that was my fault. Satelite: top 50 get in the target tourny.
I was about 25th and it was almoust over. I didnt care about the tourny, just folded all the time and read sg on the net.
All the sudden the table popped up and I accidentally hit "call". I flopped 2 pairs so I decided to play...allin - I called...opponent showed a set...51th place.

When I bubble...
My anger builds. It builds until I cannot stand it any longer. And then.... I EXPLODE! Steam shoots out of my ears, and veins pop out of my forehead! I proceed to yell at the nearest person to me and rant and rave about the one who knocked me out being a donk. And then I blackout... I'm not sure what happens, but the guard at the jail said that this happened once:
I ran outside and picked up a parked car and threw it at a nearby house. The neighbors were all frightened! That's when the police were called. I ran to the nearest pet store and stuffed a bunch of puppies in a sack. I then took a goat and ran out of the store with the puppies in a sack and the goat.. and found a stone block. Apparently, I cut the goat's throat and smeared it's blood on my face, and began dumping the puppies on the stone block.
That's when the police arrived. I began throwing the puppies at the cops, and they were able to get a couple of shots off before I jumped off the side of a cliff. I was shot twice (once in the shoulder, and once in the leg), but I made it to the water below without losing a lot of blood. I did this by swimming to the nearest island, and sealing up my wounds by starting a campfire, and using a steel rod to cauterize the wounds.
I lived on that island for 3 months.. living off of coconuts and hunting wild boar (some of the best boar I have ever tasted, btw).. I was finally tracked down by the Army. By then, my anger had started to calm.
I was arrested and given 2 years probation for vandalism, theft, and killing a goat without a license.
That's what I was told anyways. I really don't remember any of it, except for how delicious that boar tasted.

Generally speaking I blame myself for playing a hand I probably didn't need to! Unless the pay-off is in the $1.00 range and my goal is a little loftier than that. I will not let a great hand go just because I might miss out on a buck! :smile:

its usually my fault for being shortstacked....to be completely honest. sometimes my nuts get stomped by greater nuts though. its fine though, i'm usually not terribly upset by bubbling so much as i am by 27o calling my AA cause its his bb...and flopping a boat....but even then, sometimes its my fault for being shortstacked...so in summary...most my bad beats or bubbles have happened when i've shoved a top hand and been beat by a much lesser hand, because they could afford to call it, or something like that. but when i'm stacked, i'm goin for the gold anyway, if i get beat, it happens...just yell out a couple of those cussin words and everything will be ok

it's a Weeeee bit frustrating to go that far and fall just short( "missed it by that much" ) but it don't burn my brain....for to long anyways....and then I'm ready for the next game :joyman: where do ya get that license :deal: for goat sacrafice's to 'da poker gods? is that a state by state or national one?

It all depends on how I go out. If I made a mistake I might be a bit upset I played bad. If I get unlucky, then I feel pretty calm but sometimes you do get a little tilty after you bubble a whole lot of live tournaments where there is quite significant money at stake.
But then again the times that I bubbled, I probably made a good or decent move for first place which just stings in that moment.

It happened 2 times to me one time with aa got beat by 67 offsuite and once with kkk beat by a fh...my thoughts damn-should I fold a hand like this .. to get itm ???? naw never! just bad luck I guess, next tournament - next chance to survive the bubble, oh well

thankfully, i was never bubble boy..but i was on a table live before where it was kinda bad..there were 8 left, 7 get paid...7 of us agreed to give bubble boy momney back, and one guy rejected it...he came 3rd or 4th, but id have loving to see him bubble it..cause he wasnt even nice about it ...just said "Its not my fault you's arent good enough to cash,"...ARSE

I have gone out on the bubble lots of times. It is normally when I`m trying to put pressure on people and I get called by a monster.
Straight answer is I really don`t care!!!
When I go out on the bubble I`m normally prepared (I am short stacked anyway and I need to make a move) or as I have said above - I want to win or get to top 3, so if I don`t double or treble my initial buy in by squeezing into the money I`m not that concerned.

If u play enough poker, it's bound to happen eventually. It sucks, plain & simple. Usually I think bout how I should have just folded that seemingly great hand, etc, etc... Of course, that's after I've already screamed "oh, **** me!" at the putter. (That seems to make me feel better, somehow, lol)
